"Got my forks rebuilt on a bit of a time crunch and they were able to get them back to me in time to get them installed for a track day that I was leaving for like 3 days after they had finished them. Came back cleaner than they were when I sent them in and their customer service was awesome. Definitely will be using markbilt for any future work I need done that I can't do myself."
"As a once professional motorcycle mechanic, I have never let ANYONE touch any of my bikes. But I wanted someone to upgrade and tune my suspension for my first track bike (03 R6). It requires a specialty and a finesse that I just don't have. With all that being said, I could not have been more pleased with the quality of work and commitment to excellence Mark has for his work. His shop is clean and organized, the work was thorough, and the price was VERY fair. Super happy with all aspects of dealing with Mark Bilt."
"Mark did a suspension setup on my Yamaha R3 with ohlins cartridges in the front and shock in the rear. Took the time to explain stuff to me and didn't mind me talking too much out of excitement! The bike was setup for someone much lighter than me when I bought it, and I was getting some wobble at speed and during weight transfer. He and Jimmy took about 20mins to go over what they were doing, and how the suspension worked. He even went out of his way to tell me my questions weren't stupid, which I appreciate. The bike feels great now. Much more confidence inspiring. The ride back home was the best one I've had so far. Handling is much improved, tracks straight, no instability when leaning off the bike and transferring back to the middle. When I went to pay, he said it was on the house. Great group of guys. The shop is clean, well organized and professional while still maintaining a laid back attitude. He gave me the best advice of all 'Don't mess with it!' They now have a customer for life. Cheers Mark!"
"This shop tuned and ruined a bike I bought from someone else prior to me buying it. 07 yamaha R1. The previous owner didn't ride it much after tuning it(he did lots of short rides in town). Well I did start to ride it a lot daily and the piston 4 melted a little and all other pistons almost melted too. It was running SUPER LEAN. I called this guy and he gave me excuses like "maybe he ran a different fuel than what it was tuned for" fyi the bike always had 93oct from shell. You cannot find higher quality fuel on the street. As far as I know if a bike is running lean is not because of octane. Its because of Air to fuel ratio. If it went bad because of different fuel it would have detonated and most likely exploded the rod right out the block. But it didn't. The piston melted. They are white. No question about it. It was running lean. This guy tuned the bike with a lean mixture to impress the previous owner with good numbers and forgot about safety of the engine. Engines are supposed to be tuned slightly rich (sacrifice power for health and long life). He messed up an engine that was extremely healthy and taken care of. Now im out about $700 trying to rebuild it and re tune with a better shop and someone truly knowledgeable in this field. He just gave me excuses trying to shift the blame to the fuel pump or air delivery. I wouldn't recommend anyone get a "tune" from this shop."
"Mark has helped me out for a bit over a year now. Fitted my track bike with Ohlins, overhauled it on the off season and he is always available with sound and honest advice. The guy is an absolute professional. And it's not just parts. If you are out on the track and something feels off, he'll give you really clear view on why it might be the way you are riding and what to do about it. I feel pretty fortunate just getting access to Markbilt Racing."
