"I haven’t ate Chinese food in over a year, maybe close to two. The day I decided to indulge in some shrimp egg foo young was a total disappointment. I called the order in picked it up in ten minutes, went home ready to throw down. It didn’t look appealing but , I was hungry so I taste it. It taste like it looked burned. On the outside was burned and the eggs on the inside was not done. I called them and kindly explained. I was told to bring it back which I did. They had another ready for me when I arrived. Needless to say at that point, I didn’t want it nor did I eat it. I guess the refund was not an option. Nothing personal but, I have lost my appetite for Chinese food. Sticking to my roots."
"I used to be a part-time employee for Happy Wok and my family still orders from the place frequently. It was quite upsetting when I saw how many bad reviews the store was getting even though it’s such a great store and I do believe it deserves much more stars. General Tso's chicken is one of their best sellers. They can sell at least two buckets of the chicken and during busy days, they can sell 3 to 4 buckets (these are HUGE buckets, I estimate at least 20 pounds of chicken per bucket). I was one of the ones who answered incoming calls and from what I saw, at least one order of General Tso's chicken would be placed during each call and it’s pretty common to take calls with 5-6 orders of General Tso's chicken. It’s their best seller. Everyone has different taste preferences so I do understand if people don’t like it, but I just want to share that their General Tso's chicken is really popular (it’s also one of my favorite dishes; their wonton soup, chicken with broccoli, cheese wontons, and their rolls are also DELICIOUS) I also want to say that they are very very generous. They give free food ALL THE TIME. I always see them throwing free foods like egg rolls, soups, or sodas into the bag even though the customer never used the coupon. Most importantly, they STUFF the plates with food. The plates are always STUFFED. I have to assist the chef and help them close the plates during busy hours and I always see that even when the plate is already filled, the chef would stuff a lot more to the plate, making it extremely difficult to close (not exaggerating at all, but sometimes it’s so hard to close that I need to use all my force or ask someone to close it with me). If you ordered from the place, you would definitely know what I’m talking about because the plates are so heavy and full that it’s amazing for only $10. The owner, the chefs, and everyone I worked with from this store are so friendly, so kind. Just try the store once and you would be amazed."
"This family business works very hard. I have been a customer for over 10+ years. Love the general tso’s, boneless pork spare ribs, and pretty much anything else we have ordered. Like any restaurant they may have a bad day once in a while, but overall great consistency with product and service."
"This was by far the worst food I EVER tasted. First off we ordered 2 meals with rice, cheese wontons, and a small wonton soup came to 57.52. There were “ fees “ out the Ying yang ! If we picked it up there was a 20 % fee, if we had it delivered it was the same , 2.00 Menu fee !, a 2.00 delivery fee, and of course tax , and a service fee of 2.00. Our 42.55 meal cost 57.52. I had triple sweet & sour but there was an extreme amount of greasy uncooked dough that a small piece of chicken was the size of a golf ball. There was not a single piece of meat I could identify as they all were greasy uncooked mush. Totally disgusting.. I will say it was delivered fast but totally the most disgusting meal I’ve ever had. I wish I had those to take a picture of this mess so you could actually see what I got. I usually get gift certificates for a friend for there every Christmas, my question is will there be 12.00 in fees there as well. She will get a gift certificate somewhere else for sure. Avoid this place at all costs ! I have to give it one star to get this to post but it should be negative stars."
"Happy Wok made us happy today. Just driving by and stopped even though it had only 2.5 stars. Lunch special at 7.65 each that includes a meat dish, rice, and soup, that's amazing in these days prices! Make sure to take plastic utensils on the table and ask for napkins since it's not automatically included. The hot and sour soup could use a little more sour and sweetness but other than that, highly recommend them for a quick lunch stop! We ordered hunan sprimp and chicken with broccoli and they were both moist and delicious!"
