"I feel weird leaving this review because it seems most people have a good review but I've been holding it in for weeks now and it's time. We had an hour long appointment with Nichole, the taxes weren't done so she asked if she could keep them and work on them and call us to go over. I waited over a week and never heard anything, so I called. Half the time they don't answer the phone at all and when they do, they apparently "didn't give the messages to the preparer." She finally called back after like 2 weeks and spoke to my husband. Initially in office it was saying we were gonna owe like 6K and it made zero sense to me which is why we left it all there for her to work on. When she spoke to my husband she said she figured it out and we owe $800. I'm like well that's better than $6k but I don't understand why we owe at all and why the huge difference from initially to now. He told her he was gonna talk to me and I'd call her to let her know to file. I called and she wasn't available...I swear she was literally never available. Left a message with the receptionist giving permission to file them (had no idea we couldn't do that, the receptionist said nothing) Never heard anything for another week. She finally calls back after I leave a more serious message with the receptionist for the tenth time. When she calls she says "I got a message that you need to make an appointment?" I'm like uhhh no I just wanted you to file our taxes....she then says she told my husband we needed to make another appointment. Which is a lie. I asked my husband what she said and it was nothing about making an appointment. Either way....if we had let her file them they would've been totally wrong!! We're due a large refund because we overpaid on something. Can't believe people that aren't competent on taxes are allowed to do them. She even said she went line by line with her manager....that's a serious problem you guys. Thank God she never called me back and we had them done right! Not to mention, your fees are ridiculous for no reason. I can go support local business with none of these issues for $40. I'll never step foot in H&R block ever again."
