"Excellent service from experienced woodworkers! The advice was great and we walked out of there happy with our purchases. Plenty of options and choices to make your own beautiful creations."
"This is basically my favorite store. I drive here from Ephrata. If you're interested in carving, see Jamie. Dude's super sharp and super nice. Sent me home a few weeks ago with just what I needed for what I wanted to do. Came back today for some additional stuff... he was there again, and he and his associate sorted me out. I've been going to various Woodcraft locations for years, and, in terms of personnel, they can be a bit hit or miss. This one has a great staff. I just wish I could give them an additional star."
"Often, skill-based hobbies like woodworking can be heavily gatekept. Especially in ones that are more traditionally male dominated, we can probably imagine a experienced person with a gruff demeanor who would discredit or deride others in the field. I was a bit worried that this would be my experience going to a specialty woodworking store - that at the very least, I would have to endure a contemptuous sales person while I searched for the equipment I needed. Fortunately, the folks at Woodcraft Downingtown were quick to dissuade me of this notion. They were incredibly friendly and helpful. I was guided toward the tool I needed (a draw knife) and the salesman also reminded me to buy a strop for maintaining the edge, which was something I had overlooked. More than that, however, everyone was not only friendly, they were humble. The salesman talked about how he was interested in *learning* woodturning and asked about my project with genuine interest. With their help, I was able to craft my first longbow (images attached). I'm happy to say, that the next time I need tools, materials, or equipment that I will be going to Woodcraft Downingtown. In fact, even if I only have a question, I would trust that I could pop in an ask it, because the people there genuinely love the art itself."
"Helpful staff, great selection of stuff I just wish it was bigger and their prices were slightly more competitive. On the flip side though, I can get what I want in the same day rather than wait a week from Rockler so I guess it's a give and take. They also have just about every Kreg, Festool and Incra tool known to man. As other reviews have indicated they don't wear masks. I personally have not checked on this but if this is true then they've lost my business permanently."
"Great as usual they had a set of 4 finishing try pods and a device that limits movement. They also had the movement limiter separately the price for both sets was less than $12.00. The other item is funnel that has a clip to hold it onto a receiving bottle and a second clip that hold a bottle that is to be drained. I saw other items that were reasonably priced. We live in Florida but I never miss visiting Woodcraft each time we are here."
