84 Lumber

"I just watched an 84 Lumber driver named Joseph deliver a full load of building materials to a new home construction site in South Bethany. He was incredible. The lot is small (50x100) and restricted access due a telephone pole and support cable that blocks access to half the lot. A dumpster blocks part of the other side with power wires over head. He carefully and skillfully negotiated all these obstacles and laid the materials where the builder will have easy access. The last load he even placed perfectly on the builders fork lift. I forgot to mention, it was also raining and at times very heavy. When he was finished I told him I admired his skill and carefullness. He just smiled and said thank you. Good job Joseph."

"Gate closes at end of their business hours, there is several gas stations for flatbed drivers that can safety part their vehicles the night before for delivery next day"

"I tried to purchase (19) 20' LVLs just now over the phone. Got up to the point of the delivery charge and shipping for the Manager to tell the sales person they couldn't cut that many pieces out of their stock. Sales-person said they could have the special order after a few days, so why not just replace what I purchased. Sales-man was very nice over the phone, but I won't call again."

"Went to 84 Lumber, in Shelbyville, DE., In hopes to purchase several large pieces of lumber, after previously purchasing other large amounts. The store manager had no interest in matching another competitor's price. The manager stated he had no interest in selling the materials, and I should go to another lumber store closer. The only person willing to help anyone at this store is Matt, a salesman. I would not recommend this store at all, definitely in comparison to the other 84 Lumbers in Sussex County and in Milford, DE. Don't waste your time with the Shelbyville Store..."

"Absolute worst experience with this location. The sales rep placed our order and guaranteed 2-3 weeks. Over a month past our expected timeline and we still do not have our doors. When I called to ask for compensation, their employees would only speak with my fiancé because apparently females are incompetent. Extremely unprofessional."
