"Was looking for something that had to be ordered. Was so glad that the timeline was going to be great so I can finish my project. Faster than home depot."
"Great customer service. The man who owns the store saved me a ton of money and a headache by explaining a heater system to me. Didn't buy anything but didn't need to thanks to his expertise and experience. Thank you for your help!"
"I called Lee’s Hardware to ask a question about a hard to find item and was hung up on before I could even finish asking my question. Just wow. I recommend going to Rittenhouse Hardware two blocks away instead. They will put you on hold to check for the item, ask other staff, and recommend where you might find the item if they don’t have it. Don’t give Lee’s your money."
"Who are these people who receive helpful service here? I am with those who say their owner/staff are indifferent and rude. First went there and asked the store’s only occupant for something, and he just silently walked to the back of the store and started doing something else. After giving him a good deal of time, I called back, “Did you hear what I said?” He snappily replied that he had something else to do. Bizarre. When he did wait on me, he was laconic and sullen. Gave them another chance today, just based on relative proximity to my home. Walked about 20 minutes to arrive there around 3:00, on a Thursday. The door was locked, and I tried the three different doorbells next to it, not knowing which, if any, related to the store. No answer, note saying why they were gone or when they’d be back; evidently just decided to check out. So that’s the end for me, under any circumstances. I don’t think they’re really interested in small-time customers. They must be focused on their Industrial Supply business—in which case, they should just give up the store."
