"I highly recommend EVERYTHING about Grounded Aerial and Wren Fuhrman. I had no idea what to expect when first walking into the studio. On a whim, I decided to go with a good friend to Grounded Aerial’s 16hr teacher training course. While I have extensive experience in gymnastics, dance, Pilates and as a fitness enthusiast, I knew very little about this practice, other than you get to fly! That was all I needed to hear to give my friend a resounding “YES, I am in!” It didn’t hurt that I knew my friend had done extensive research on Grounded Aerial’s program and the genius behind it, Wren (Karen) Fuhrman. I trust her advice and recommendations implicitly, so with that the two of us were off to Philadelphia for the training. From the moment we walked into the studio I knew we belonged there. Wren welcomes you as though you are a close friend who she has known for ever. There were 7 other students who were fantastic, as well. In the two days we spent together, we all developed a beautiful connection over this new found love of Grounded Aerial. Not only did we have fun, we learned so much to take back home with us to our own practice. In addition, how Grounded Aerial, while an amazing workout, presented us with countless real life applications. Wren approaches this practice in a holistic manner, connecting one’s mind, body and spirit into this beautiful expression of art and function through full body movement. While the weekend was jammed packed with loads of important technical information and physical exertion, I would do it all over again, every day of the week, to feel the pure joy and emotional and psychological freedom that I left with after the training. One of the most beautiful parts of the training weekend was that I felt like I gained a new and trusted tribe to go through this new and exciting journey with. Wren, couldn’t have been more gracious, knowledgeable, professional, talented and an overall badass then she was. She instilled in us that from this point forward we will always have her to rely on and support us as we navigate on our own and bring this practice back to our respective community’s. I can’t express the confidence and peace that that gives someone, especially embarking on new and uncharted territory. I am elated for what the future holds and look forward to what comes next in this journey. I am going to cherish this experience for a lifetime, as well as all those I was blessed to share it with."
