"We went on a beautiful Sunday morning in mid September. It was quiet and full of wild life. We were hoping to see some horseshoe crabs but it’s not the right time of year. There were quite a few carcasses. The walking paths are good but may be a bit much for those who are not steady on their feet as there are some tree roots to navigate."
"Went here today as I was driving by it's a nice trail also has a beach didn't make it to there not really a beach person but hit the trails a couple different ones really nice quiet had a lot of fun also met someone on my walk a turtle can't wait to come back"
"This should be a standard stop for families visiting the quiet resorts area. Free parking, no required fees (donation box is provided), dog waste bags provided. The trails are well marked and explained at the information kiosk at the front of the park. Informational plaques are visible in multiple locations. You could spend the better part of a day here walking all the trails if you take your time and enjoy the surroundings. The trails are an easy walk and flat with some "boardwalk" areas while traversing wetlands and sensitive vegetation. The beach looks out over the bay and is smaller, but very nice. Dogs are common sites on the trails, so no problem bringing them along as long as you're ready and willing to clean up after them, and they are on a leash."
"We are on vacation staying in ocean city. This was a nice getaway for a couple hours out of the crowed tourist areas. Very flat, nice trails. Tree canopy over your head and it’s so beautiful and peaceful! About a ten min walk to the beach. You can wade out hundreds of feet and explore aquatic wildlife. We saw 3 horseshoe. We saw a couple jelly fish, clams, snails and an assortment of crabs. We saw a snake off the path on our walk back. One thing I would recommend is water shoes and maybe a type of floater, that way you could float around in your stomach and look down at the water. It was not crowded at all. I highly recommend for a family day! Dog friendly and really nice bathrooms as well!"
"We took the Green and Purple trail loop which was a little over 1 mile before it started raining. Didn't make it to the red trail which ends at the beach. The trails are partially crushed seashells, dirt and sand. If you are looking for a short and peaceful walk through the woods, this is a nice trail. It's also dogfriendly!!"
