"Lovely, comfortable and quiet, we had an excellent stay. The room and bed were very comfortable, the staff were excellent-friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for walking around town and parking is under the hotel and very convenient. My one complaint - PLEASE GET BETTER COFFEE. The coffee machine in the lobby for guests was undrinkable - and the restaurant coffee needs a serious upgrade. The hotel was beautiful and comfortable and I would stay there again, but I suggest you get dressed and run down to Cranberry's for coffee."

"The property was very cute and in the heart of downtown. Parking was great. Very easy to get a spot. The staff was engaging and helpful. The lobby was tidy and even had a piano for guests to play. When we visited they were setting up the Christmas tree. Lots of history on display. Rooms were fine. What you would expect. now lets get to the staff. Kelly at reception was so pleasant and greeted us with a smile. She had good recommendations for dinner and drinks. Her best recommendation was to visit the lounge at the hotel. We had a blast with Joseph. The bar is very small and intimate which was great. Joseph provided wonderful service and kept us smiling. DO NOT SKIP BREAKFAST... They had a great spread with all the traditional favorites. Biscuits and gravy were top notch."

"This was the loveliest hotel I've stayed in for many years. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and everyone was extremely helpful and kind. We had drinks and appetizers in the lobby bar and enjoyed them very much. We decided that when we relocate to Staunton in the spring, we will happily put visiting guests up here."

"This is a great hotel in a great location in Staunton, literally next door to the Shakespeare theater. Only reason I'm taking 1 star off for this stay is that the spa/hot tub at the pool was closed, and it has been closed for awhile, and the fitness room was pretty sparse and disheveled. However, I will definitely stay here again."

"I just spent a week here for a business trip and loved everything about it! The room was nice and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast and lunch provided for our conference was great, and the service was excellent. I’ve never been to a hotel with a friendlier staff. The fitness center has nice new equipment, but I hardly used it since the town itself is safe and great for walks and runs outdoors. The location right in downtown is so convenient. I didn’t have to use my car once with everything in walking distance. Highly recommend walking over to Mill Street Grill or Depot Grille for dinner. Definitely planning to return, but with the pup next time!"
