"Every time we visit the area, we go to countryside multiple times and love it so much! They have the best pancakes, even my picky toddler couldn’t stop eating them lol and my favorite dish is the sausage and gravy over their BISCUITS. Best biscuits we have ever had from anywhere- my whole family agrees! They also have the most loving and sweet service, they are quick and attentive and so friendly. It’s a family favorite and we will definitely be back on our next trip to the OC."

"Comfortable local place to enjoy breakfast and lunch. The food is always tasty, and the servers are great. At first, I found it a little uncomfortable to have Mr. Owner standing around staring at everyone while they are eating, but I've since come to the conclusion that he is simply acting in a protective manner; protective of staff and his business. Mrs. Owner is hard working and friendly. We are happy to patronize this cafe."

"Absolutely wonderful! Have been coming here for about 15 years when we are at our vacation home. Cozy, homey feel where everyone who works there seems like family. Food is yummy, comes out hot and quickly, and is very reasonably priced. We look forward to coming every time! I do wish they took credit card instead of just cash, but Al glad there’s at least an ATM on site!"

"Wish I could give it ten stars. This place is a great “hole in the wall” for breakfast and lunch. Arrived at 845am on a Saturday morning in July and no wait (though when we left there were some waiting - it’s worth the wait). I’ll let you in on a little secret - cinnamon rolls are not on the menu but if you ask specifically for them and they have some left - you’ll definitely want to order that. A smashing cinnamon roll the size of the plate for only $8. Insanely good. Portions sizes were tremendous and quality of food was outstanding. Service was top notch."

"The best little hidden gem ever. The portions were huge, the coffee was great and the home fries were AWESOME! The dining area was bright and sunny. The staff were attentive. The best part was that there was a very large group of senior citizens celebrating a birthday. Just made our experience that much better."
