Mike & Mel’s Family Restaurant

"Understand this is a small town diner so expect that. The owners are slowly making improvements to a once dated facility. We have become weekend "regulars" and occasionally go there for dinner. Saturday mornings can get busy so don't expect "fast food" times as the food is made to order. Additionally you may have to wait for a table as they can fill up during certain times."

"Horrible experience. The waitress was not pleasant. The chili was extremely spicy and again, the waitress was unsympathetic. I did not enjoy my meal and I will not return. Other people may post that the food at Mike and Mel’s is excellent but it was not what I experienced."

"Waited 25 minutes for our waitress to get to our table. Food and atmosphere made the wait worthwhile. Prices most reasonable, waitress very friendly and on top of situation without being overbearing. We will be going back"

"Had the staff came by to check on us at least once they would know that our food was barely edible. I had to cut away edges of my French toast that was also barely warm and tasted like the day before grease on the griddle. Homefries were undercooked and cold and bacon deep-fried too long. It must be a prerequisite to not smile and throw things. People get busy but I've been here several times and the staff seems to enjoy acting terribly busy and annoyed. I've tried all meal times and won't be back. I'll gladly ride to Harrington."

"Stopped on the way home from vacation. Ordered a 1/2 soup with sandwich. Chose the turkey sandwich. It was on stale white bread and was literally just pieces of turkey thrown on small white bread. The soup made it edible when I dipped it."
