"nothing but a positive experience living here! my biggest issues were with receiving my packages and mail but that's just an unfortunate effect of living in a new construction complex."
"The negative reviews are from people that couldn't pass the rental history or credit checks. Parson's Lake uses a third party company to do the checks, so if there's anything bad on your record, that's on you, not this apartment complex. When we were applying to live here, they gave us updates every day or every other day, even when they were short staffed last summer. They hounded our previous apartment complex to complete the rental history. After the checks were complete, we paid our security deposit and got the keys and moved here in the middle of last year and it's only been a pleasant experience being in this apartment complex. They do use the ResidentPortal app/system, which isn't the greatest, but all you really need it for is to pay rent and schedule maintenance, which is very easy. Because this complex is newly built, last year, maintenance did take a while to come by, but now it's the same day/within an hour. I barely hear my neighbors. There's plenty of parking and they just opened up garage spaces to rent. A cleaning crew comes by weekly to tend to the public areas. A mowing crew comes by weekly in the warmer weather to tend to the grounds. I've also seen pest control regularly come out, and there's a clause in the lease to request pest control prior to moving in to your apartment at no cost to you. Waste management and recycling also come to empty the dumpsters weekly. There's a central outdoor mailbox location for the entire complex. Any food or large deliveries that I've had have always come right to my door. The leasing office always sends out community reminders and is always professional and courteous, and I'm glad that we live in this community."
"Had no problem with the background check. They were fine with the fact that I came for a new job and only needed proof of that new job beside the background check. Only problem I have is with the resident system as it’s not very good but everything else is great."
"DO NOT rent from these people. This complex only employs the most incompetent people on the eastern shore. Their phones and application system don't work half the time. My girlfriend and I were rejected because her last name is Blackwell and the property manager didn't bother to check the first name of the delinquent bankruptcy that also happened to have the last name Blackwell. There is a much better complex named Mill Pond Village that I strongly recommend instead of these people. The parent company of this sham is just as incompetent, I know because I had to have 2 checks sent out because the first had the wrong amount. Please don't give these people any of your money."
"My application was declined for a $1625 a month apartment at Parsons without explanation. I was subsequently approved for every other place I applied to and landed a $2000 apartment without issue. I am currently making more than 3 times monthly rent for Parsons with a sufficient credit score and no criminal history. Perhaps they have issues with self employment, I am not sure. The approval process for this complex is puzzling to say the least."
