"Jackie! What a blow dry queen. It’s been so challenging since I moved to find someone who can really blow dry my thick, wavy, frizzy hair and she really exceeded my expectations. I would recommend all day everyday for blow dry. Will come again and try for color and everything else soon. Thank you Jackie!"
"KRISTINA did the thing with my 3 year old! So patient and kind and willing to work around him being 3! FOREVER COMING HERE FOR FUTURE HAIRCUTS! the atmosphere was welcoming and warm not enough good things to say about this place! (It's exhausting taking a 3 year old anywhere let alone to get his haircut and Kristina never batted an eye she just worked around him) THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!"
"TL;DR: For $50 I got the Botanical Therapy hair spa treatment. Besides deep conditioning, it involves a heavenly shoulder massage. While not 100% what I expected from the website, there's also a hand massage after which they put your arms in heated sleeve devices while you're under the lukewarm dryer for the conditioner to work. Expect it to be a little bit busy despite the attempt they make at a "hair spa" and for a potentially nerve-wracking consultation. Not a bad experience overall but I've gotten a better bang for the buck elsewhere. Full review: As a man who appreciates a mild pampering, I came here for the Botanical Therapy hair spa treatment. There was nothing weird at all about getting it done while male, the stylists were happy to do it for me. It cost $50 without the tip and was basically a deep conditioning service with massages to the head, neck, shoulders, and hands. Brooke had excellent massage skills, as she worked my trapezius and temporalis areas it made me giggle. Do be advised though that the description of the hand massage on their menu is a little misleading; it is not done while you are under the dryer itself but just beforehand and it involves lotion, then they put your arms in heated sleeves and that part is concurrent with the dryer. So your hands aren't free as you dry, but it's only for 10 minutes. It was my first time using a drying hood and they made sure to keep the heat down for my comfort, I did not feel any burning at all in fact it could have been a little hotter! The main reason why I give the experience four stars instead of five is because I found the scalp analysis in the beginning to be a not-so-relaxing experience, and be aware there might be some uncomfortable discussions if you have an imperfect scalp. On the other hand it meant that they made sure to be gentle as they performed the massage, and tailored the products used accordingly. Also the service is done in an alcove in the back of the salon where the lights are dim which is supposed to make for a calming spa-like ambiance, but it really wasn't like that as it gets busy with all of the shampoo bowls in that area. If you're in South Jersey and want a pampering of your head, I'd recommend going to Currie Salon in Wilmington instead (check out my review of that place). I spent the same amount of money there for a steam shampoo and infrared sauna experience, and as much as the shoulder massage at Fabrojae was delightful, I just enjoyed my time at Currie even more. Also keep in mind that Fabrojae offers an "Express" Botanical Therapy treatment for half the price. I asked the stylist what is omitted (since the website doesn't make it clear), and she said there's no massage in that except for your head. So basically it's like an ordinary deep conditioning treatment, with the shampoo, application of conditioning products, and dryer time."
"Staff are very kind, talented and super funny. The salon was clean with plenty of hair stations. The make up team was alright but the one who did mine was not culturally competent and didn't listen to what I wanted on my face. She is very talented but not a good listener."
"My first time there today, and OMG. I had Debbie and I will NEVER go to anyone else. She did an outstanding job on my hair. I have had my hair done at other places and never in my life hugged the person who did my hair. I cant say enough about how happy I am with my hair. Debbie is top notch."
