"Where to begin. The units are perfect. The view is perfect. The customer service is extraordinary!!! Everything was met or above standard! Sierra and Abby have been amazing!"
"My door was opened and residence entered without appointment nor consent. There's a general lack of respect for privacy."
"I applied here in 2019. On day number ONE, I gave them all income plus savings information. Because of my small social security check, I had to go through intensive investigation, including months of my bank accounts. Ater a few weeks I was told my income was too small, even though I had savings, great credit score and perfect criminal background check for validation-- and yes, they demanded all that, already knowing my income! And the apartment they showed me (not the one I would get if they had accepted all my information) was trashed: screens ripped, wall had a hole, floors destroyed, refrigerator had to be replaced. It STANK. I was eager to live in the area at that time, so I overlooked the way they had allowed people to ruin the apartment. I missed a bullet! No stars for this place."
"I lived in a 1BR/1bathroom unit on the second floor from Nov. 2019-June 2023 and quickly felt at home. There were two sets of keys—one to get into the general building, and a separate one to get into my personal unit (definitely made me feel safe!). I was fortunate enough to live in a unit right on Silver Lake, and in all honesty the geese out back were louder than any of my neighbors. All of the residents I ever interacted with were respectful, and noise never got out of hand. Not a single sighting of pests of any kind, aside from the occasional spider or silverfish bug on the wall (but that’s what I got for leaving my sliding patio doors open quite frequently!). Also never had an issue with mail delivery. Occasionally boxes were left outside the building rather than being brought up in front of my personal door, but nothing was ever stolen and this has more to do with whether the vendor has “registered” with the office for building access. Grounds were clean and well kept, any snow/ice was quickly handled, and there was frequent communication with any noteworthy updates from the leasing office. There is a straightforward process for submitting maintenance requests, and every time I did they were resolved quickly and without issue. The Lake Club Team (looking at you Abby, Dave, Megan, and Paul!) is incredible—very responsive, understanding, and transparent. Additionally, as a single young woman living alone for the duration of my tenancy, not once did I ever feel unsafe. Whenever incidents or suspicious activity were observed on the premises (which happened maybe 3 times), the leasing office was quick to release reports/updates/guidance. At the time of writing this, there are no assigned parking spaces and my visitors were always able to find a nearby spot. There is a small pool and fitness area on sight, but I never utilized either facility so I cannot speak to them. At the time of my tenancy, there was a designated laundry room with one washer and one dryer for each set of 6 apartment units in a building. Not ideal, but it rarely posed an issue for me—it really was not difficult to find a time during the week when the facilities were not in use by another tenant. With any apartment, you will likely have to compromise and choose certain conditions you are willing to bend on—in my case, the combination of proximity to my place of employment, sense of security/safety, view from my patio, and rent price compared to other communities in Dover outweighed the fact that my unit didn’t have its own laundry facilities. The cost of rent did increase each year, but it was a manageable amount. In speaking with other colleagues at work renting single bedroom apartments in the area, Lake Club prices were comparable (but usually cheaper!). I would live at Lake Club again for sure, and I am beyond comfortable recommending this community to anybody!"
