"Worst place to live. I lived here for 4yrs and had the worst experiences. Our 1st apartment had leaks and so much issue so we moved 2yrs later into a another unit and there was nothing done when we moved no carpet, the master room smelled very bad the master bathroom was gross the balcony had no fence and the sliding door got locked on me and I was trapped for hrs until someone came to rescue me. The area use to be good but then things changed they raised the rent there was more crime happening the unit next to mine was demolished because of the fire the gym there was horrible they locked it and needed a key to enter and charged to use the gym the pool was very bad and rubbed by people who would kick people out for no reason. One time I was kicked out of my own apartment while I was doing laundry because there was noise complaint and the maintenance people though i didn’t live there and try to tell me I was trespassing when u wasn’t. One time while I was walking to my apartment a cop told me to see my Id and verify if I lived there because the maintenance people said I didn’t live in the apartment even though I lived there for 4yrs. While moving out there was free dumpster for residents and I told the landlord about me moving and throwing my stuff in there they approved it and the maintenance people very rude told us we can’t be throwing things in and took all the garbage some which we’re not even ours and threw it back into my apartment. So I had to call someone to pick everything up and throw it at there place. The maintenance people also never came to fix my bathroom which was leakage and had mold all over the walls they never fixed my electrical issue we had when we moved and while moving out they refused to give me back my deposit I had paid they claimed I left things in the apartment even though we cleaned everything. And tried charging for damages that they never fixed ended up getting half my deposit but they took it under the new management the place has become one of the worst place to live they don’t do background check credit score or anything they let anyone in. Don’t waste your time moving here go somewhere else"
"Moved in less than a month ago. Apt. was completely redone. Even new appliances. Neighbors have flooded my bathroom to the point I had to shower at the truck stop! My bathtub holds a wooden drying rack used to dry my towels I use to try to dry up the floods. The ceiling is molding and starting to fall. The noise is to the point I have had to sleep in my car. In the summer heat no less. Mind you I paid my rent early. The hitting and/or kicking off my window along with trash thrown everywhere is just par for the course here. The noise is off the chart. Last night New Castle County Police informed me they get constant calls and everybody seems to complain that management does nothing. Police recommended a civil suit. Was hoping name change would also bring management change. Does not appear to. I think that since Delaware does not require posting Section 8 availability management assumes employed people can just shut up. After all they can fill the whole place with Section 8. And I firmly believe they intend to. So now (September) I have been gone for almost a month. Wrote a letter demanding to be moved. Ignored until I put up signs about sleeping in the car. Management offered to move me and then failed to follow up. Paid a real estate attorney to send a letter demanding to be moved. Management claimed to know nothing about it. Lawyer ended up getting management to sign an early release agreement and refund my security deposit. It was not an easy process. Lawyer ended up charging as much as I got back. But I got out and I get my money. Management cannot pursue me for anything. Got the right lawyer - the one their corporate lawyer didn't want to deal with. So much for their threatening to sue me."
"No how water for weeks at a time, no heat during cold season and no air during hot season. I hoped the name change brings something better but the manager stayed... so much for change. The rents going up but nothing is being done inside the apartments or building. Hell I haven't had use of the laundry room in 4 months due to washers filled with foul smelling water and rusted machines. They force you to pay to use the pool when their " life guards" are neighborhood kids busy jumping off tables and on their phones! The gym door hasn't worked ... ever so much for the use of that!! Kids run through the buildings cursing and screaming... Vultures keep circling people by the dumpsters that stay running over! I mean real huge Vultures in a residential area daily. It's bad here. I've never seen anything like it. Plus you never know what problem you apartment will have because you can't see it until its move in ready, I moved into a mold filled apartment and had to contact code and compliance to get it fixed!"
"This has been the absolute worst apartment complex I have lived in ever. We unfortunately have been in 2 different buildings within the complex and have experienced nothing but disrespect, disappointment, and headaches. Myself, my boyfriend and my daughter lived in building 37 but that burned down in February due to faulty wiring. The apartment complex and corporate office took no responsibility for their negligence causing multiple families to be displaced. They refused to reimburse/prorate us for the months rent we paid for February even though it was impossible to be in our apartment beyond February 15th. They made decisions on who they would reimburse and who they would not. Christine in the office is awful, she's nasty to tenants, places illegal notices on your door for everyone to see and prides herself in doing so. The property manager Shannon is the only person with any sense in the building she seems to truly want to assist at times but her hands seem to be tied due to corporate policies. It's a disgusting operation they run here, the girls in the office are disrespectful and uneducated, they seem to know how to do nothing besides tell you the manager is not in or the infamous words "we will put a work order in." The new building that we moved into in March has done nothing but deteriorate since week one of us occupying the apartment. Our AC does not work (common problem as you can see) the utility closet with the AC unit is covered in black mold, our front bathroom has been leaking from the ceiling for months. They came in to repair the leak by cutting a huge hole in the bathroom ceiling, leaving it that way for weeks, never fixing the leak, "patching" the huge hole all of this just to now have wet plaster hanging from the ceiling because the leak was never fixed. Our hallway is soaking wet also along the baseboards in my living room is all soaked due to ANOTHER leak in our utility closet which they have known about for weeks. Our newest leak has now started in the ceiling of our master bathroom. They fix absolutely nothing code enforcement has been to both apartments and nothing has ever been fixed, code enforcement says they will sue if the problems are not fixed by the date on the notice they are given however that NEVER happens and miraculously you can never seem to reach the code enforcement agent after your date has passed. They also forced us basically into signing a whole new lease after our building burned down, they refused to continue the lease which would've been up in June of this year, they pinned us up against a wall after we had to pay so much in hotel fees after being displaced for weeks due to the fire. They are literally the absolute worst apartment complex in the area, and Metropolitan Management Group is the worst as well they could not care less about the senseless behavior that goes on at this complex. They do not care about the danger they place the tenants in with the health hazards in every building I am sure. This company should be ashamed for allowing this to go on. Stay far far away from here!!!"
"Apartments are old. The staff is horrible. Maintenance staff is dirty; drinks on the job & has been known to break in tenant's apartments and steal. There was barely hot water diring the winter months, a bed bug infestation that we were left to handle on our own. Both of my vehicles were towed in 2 weeks time as a result of the rental company not giving clear instructions on where tenants should park. My apartment was not cleaned or turned over prior to moving day & the laundry facilities were terrible with only 1 working washer & 1 barely working dryer. I had to do my own walk through and was not able to see my actual floor plan prior to moving. My sliding glass door never opened and we never received the new door as promised on moving day. We had many leaks and no heat after February. My punch list from 2015 was never addressed. Emails to their corporate office were ignored. I would not recommend my worst enemy to move in Autumn Park Apartments."
