"My 16yr old was lucky enough to get scheduled with Mel this past Saturday for her first time at New Trend. She came out of the salon feeling (and looking) gorgeous with her blonde highlights and long layers! Mel worked her magic in the salon and gave her tips on how to keep her hair healthy going forward. "I have been going to New Trend for years and will continue to do so. I recently had a one off not so great experience. When I brought the issue to the manager's attention she immediately took ownership of the concern and proactively took steps to address it. She had me back in the salon the same day I called to make it right. The stylist and owner worked together dilligently to make sure I left there completely satisfied. I am extremely impressed with how hands on the owner and manager were in handling my concern. Not once did they make me feel bad and both showed genuine desire to resolve the problem. Very friendly and professional. Thank you!"

"It has been my first time coming since pre COVID and WOW the salon looks beautiful with open space. Sad to see nail salon come to and end but with the change it gave new trend an open look room for more hair dresser, etc. although my stylist was absolutely amazing my shampoo experience was not so good. Temperature was good, shampooing was not professional. As a former hair dresser with the experience she did not hit all the right areas. She was distracted, it was very busy in the salon. She was so rough on my scalp when shampoo and massaging. It’s not a back massage. She had previously sat a client in a chair, that client was then moved and told her college “I’m going to kill her” (targeting the girl that moved the client). This is not a social hour, it’s supposed to be professional in front of your client. The shampoos didn’t know the full story as to why she moved the client that she was angry about she aimed right to target mode. When that girl came to the shampoo bowls where I was sitting they were talking right about me with angry looks. Which is not professional. It felt like she was taking out her anger on my scalp. As a client and form hair dress you want your clients to keep coming back and wanting your service, especially for shampooing because it’s supposed to be one of the most relaxing services. I felt bad for not tipping her but not so much because of professionalism. If you can’t get along with an all girl environment and talk professional amongst one another then the industry is not for you. I loved how Alexis did my hair and I will continue to come back to her! But I absolutely do not recommend the shampooing that was doing my hair and I do not want her shampooing me the next time I come in."

"It was my first time going here and everyone was very kind. I had a previously botched hair cut from a chain and she made me look so pretty/ feel so pretty. The cut looks great and she styled it perfectly. Its giving off big hair 70's vibes and I love it. Thank you so much. Rita is awesome."

"I went into New Trend to get my hair cut. I have curly hair so I made sure I mentioned that when I got my hair cut. I had COLLEEN who claimed that she has been in the business 50 years and has experience with curly hair so I have hopeful. I told her when my curly hair was dry, I wanted it cut to my collarbone. She cut it above my shoulders. I left the salon 2 hours ago and and have been crying ever since. I will never be going back to New Trend and it's ridiculous that I paid $38 for this awful cut."
