Dr. Jeffrey Melini DMD

"I really wanted to love this practice. Fun atmosphere, friendly staff, my kids actually look forward to going. BUT, we had an awful experience. First appointment seemed great, they ran insurance before hand, all seemed good. My kids needed a couple of fillings, so we went back and they told us the kids needed laughing gas because they are so young and we needed to purchase masks for them future use. This seemed odd. They are 11 and 8, and they have both had fillings before without laughing gas and never had an issue. Plus, the “future use” statement was strange to me- isn’t the goal to not have cavities?! I took the kids back for a 6 month visit and I was hit with a bill of almost $1000 because they don’t take our insurance plan. Apparently they take the insurance but not the plan we have and they “didn’t bother to check that because it is normally fine.” The insurance specialized at the office apologized, admitted it was her fault, and said there was nothing they could do about it now. She then asked me to pay in full for the cleanings. Needless to say we left. How is it that we had appointment in late May/ early June, went back for filling in July, and I am being told in December that they don’t take our insurance? So, the facility is nice, but that is where it ends. I don’t want to send my kids to a doctor that gives them medicine they don’t truly need and charges me through the roof for it, and I don’t think it is fair to expect me to pay a large sum of money because of their mistake. There are many other great choices for pediatric dentist in our area. They may not have the fun atmosphere, but at the end of the day, good and honest dental care is most important."

"I can’t say enough good things about Dr.Melini and his staff. Going to the dentist isn’t something kids (or adults) look forward to. The staff and the Dr do everything in there power to help the appointment be the best experience it can be. I highly recommend Dr. Melini to anyone seeking a pediatric dentist. That being said- I’m not much of a review person bc in this day and age you don’t know what to believe anywhere- You also can’t please everyone- I hope that anyone reading these reviews has there wits about them to see that people just like to complain!"

"I bring all 3 of my boys to see Dr. Melini at Pediatric Associates of Glen Mills. His staff is amazing from the appointment being made to check out. My oldest isn't calm by any stretch of the imagination- Dr. Melini is GREAT with him. His approach is patient and calm. My kids ask when there next appointment is. I can't say that for myself!! I commend him and his staff for the EXCELLENT experience we consistently have."
