"Very clean hotel. Polite and helpful service. The rooms are quiet and quaint. Old bathroom fixtures. Which we liked and possibly original wooden floors. Which were very creaky but covered in tile carpet. Which was very nice. Everything worked very well and we had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel adjoins the Rose and Crown restaurant. Excellent bar, friendly service. We have used the restaurant many times. The food is also very good. We will return many more times."

"We booked three nights at this hotel conveniently located steps away from the historical campus, shops and restaurants, and about a mile walk to the beach. Our room was small but bright and clean. We did have a coffee pot no fridge although I did see other rooms that had them. The bathroom was comfortably sized. The only issue we had was parking as there are only four spots allotted, in a nearby lot. Staff members we encountered were warm and engaging and helpful. There is a restaurant right off the lobby which we took advantage of twice."

"This is a nice old hotel which is conveniently located in Lewes. The rooms are in need of remodeling due to expected high wear and tear. Furniture needs to be refurbished or replaced in the rooms we have stayed in. Floors have carpet squares which are reminiscent of yesteryear, and we find this most unappealing. The hotel walls and woodwork are kept painted which helps considerably when compared to the rest of the declining interior. Last but most important is the condition of the bedding which features cheap and fuzzy bedspreads which serve no purpose. I wish the owners and management would restore this hotel before my wife and I return. It has charm and deserves refinement. Your quests deserve and should expect the best."

"A wonderful find. We spent the night and we stayed in the master suite with soaking tub. The room was large it had a very big shower king bed arm chair and a day bed. The room was very clean nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable the bed cover was so soft. The staff was extremely friendly. We will be back to enjoy another relaxing night"
