"I scheduled an appointment 2 months out under the impression that I would receive treatment for dental pain. Upon arrival, I asked the dental associate what would be done during the visit and she informed me that it is only a consultation. The lady who did my X-rays was great. Unfortunately, that ended with her. The dentist came in only for a few minutes. During that time, he ignored my questions, spoke over top of me, and continued speaking with the hygienist. When he did speak to me, he was very unclear about my treatment plan other than I will “probably” need a $3000 root canal. He also acknowledged that I had a cavity in a tooth that currently had a root canal and shrug his shoulders and said “we will come back to that” with no treatment plan. I was able to get a teeth cleaning during that appointment because someone canceled while I was there. The hygienist was rough and gave lectures about drinking soda the entire time. She also gagged me and jumped backwards instead of suctioning out my mouth. At the end of the visit, I was scheduled 7 weeks out for a root canal and 10 weeks out for a second cleaning. Fast forward a few weeks and I call the office to ask for a sooner appointment because I was in so much pain. It was at this time that the women in charge of scheduling attempted to give me medical advice. At this time, she spoke with the dentist who agreed to call me in antibiotics to ease the pain until the appointment. Frustrated and in pain, I asked if they would send my records to another dentist if I could find one with a sooner appointment. She happily agreed. I very clearly stated that I planned on keeping my scheduled appointments with them and would call back to cancel if I received treatment elsewhere. I hung up and called several other dentist until I found one who could schedule me sooner. When I called back to the office to request only my records be sent over, the women on the phone stated that the dentist said “If she’s going to another dentist, they can call her in her antibiotic”. This was unprofessional, childish, and reckless as I was in a tremendous amount of pain and they had no idea when my new appointment was. I ended up getting a last minute appointment with my primary that evening for antibiotics to help with the pain. When I saw the new dentist (LRK), I was informed that I not only needed the root canal that Seaford dental suggested, but the tooth had an abscess that needed those antibiotics immediately. They also noted several other smaller cavities that Seaford dental didn’t mention at all, and came up with a clear treatment plan. I planned to return to Seaford dental because they accept my current dental insurance making the smaller issues more affordable. Fast forward to a week prior to the appointment scheduled, I called and left a voicemail stating that I would need to reschedule my root canal appointment due to financial issues. Fast forward 3 more weeks to my second scheduled cleaning (today). I called to confirm my appointment because I hadn’t heard from them. Only to hear “you don’t have an appointment with us today”. I gave the women a recap of what happened with the appointments, antibiotics, and records and she again, lectured me with unsolicited medical advice regarding the infected tooth and not the cleaning I was calling about. She continued to speak to me about my infected tooth and that I’m “now resisting the antibiotics” without any knowledge other than I’ve been on a few courses to clear the abscess. She then stated that the doctor never refused to call me in antibiotics and “I don’t know what to tell you” about my cleaning appointment. Then she said she would need speak with the dentist regarding making an appointment for cleaning!! Why would she need to speak with him about a cleaning appointment that I already had scheduled and was cancelled without my knowledge? At that point, I decided that I will not be returning to this petty and childish dentist office and will receive treatment elsewhere. I do not recommend this office for anyone."
"How many other state employees/ retirees did you forget to tell that you are no longer accepting delta dental! I have never in over 20+ years had a problem with my billing or had to pay more after an appointment! I was never notified of past due bill in over 3 months, and spoke with someone in office twice last month! Then my husband goes in and they give him a bill for over 600$! Their billing person does not know what she is doing! You just lost a family of four after all these years!"
"My experience here was outstanding! I was in severe pain and needed attention quickly. Called at 3 PM, got my appointment for the next morning at 7:30 AM. The entire staff were remarkably courteous and professional. Dr. C was my provider and was truly the best dentist I had ever seen. He laid out my options and let me decide which course of action to take. I elected an extraction and he proceeded to treat me. He made sure I was totally numb before pulling my tooth. I will be using this establishment for all my future dental needs!"
"So very pleased. The dentist gave his professional opinion and took in to consideration my wishes and I really appreciated that. I have never had a better experience than here. Thank you"
"This was the most pleasant experience I have ever had at a dentist office. The staff explained everything to me. The doctor came back in the room when I had an additional question. There was not a surprise when it was time to pay. She also went over the cost for the next visit. I would recommend this office."
