"I was terrified and ashamed to come and see the dentist my teeth were a mess from when I was in my active addiction. Now in recovery every time I smile I feel nervous in the back of my head questioning what others think. I cried in the office and he didn’t make me feel like a loser addict no he treated me like a human being and took the time to really explain my options and where I needed to go from there. He gave me a high five and told me having 5 years clean was amazing and was just truly empathetic. If you’re feeling similar and looking for a dentist I recommend him."
"I had been a patient at Laurel Dental for a number of years. They were a nice dental office that gave me good service. I had to go on Medicare. Laurel Dental would not take the supplemental insurance I received and the only insurances they took were much more expensive. Anyway, I had to find a new dentist, the cost with no insurance was not in our budget. For a number of years, even after leaving their practice, I was purchasing a sensitivity toothpaste from them. The prior year I purchased two tubes of the toothpaste. This year I go in and the receptionist states, 'we can not sell someone who walks in off the street the product'. I stated, 'I was a customer of yours for many years'. She was not nice the way she told me, then she went in the back and I believe lobbied the dentist not to sell me the product. I feel the office left me hanging. They had my records. They could have sold me the toothpaste. They were the ones who did not take my insurance. My new dentist charges me nothing so i doubt my insurance is insufficient. A shame when a dental service that you rely on just tells you, sorry we do not take that insurance. Then the cost is too high to continue. As a person who worked for 53 years, then retired, it seems like Laurel Dental doesn't care about me as a patient. They did not even try to contact my new insurance, which was Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, seems like a large company. I recommend not using them if you are close to retirement due to their insurance policies."
"Going here for my dental work was one of the best decisions I've made in my life. Dr B and his staff are quick, kind, and professional and the results I have had with my restorative dental work so far have been first rate. Really happy to see a young, good dentist in this area doing such good work. This area will benefit from Dr. B and his practice for a long time."
"I am so excited, I cant stop looking at my teeth in the mirror, I’m finally starting to gain my confidence back after procrastinating my dental appointments for so long. I was so embarrassed about how much work I needed done but the staff is so amazing here no one made me feel bad about myself. My insurance doesn’t cover all the work I need done so I was thankful that on my first visit they broke down all the costs too me. They also understand that not everyone has the money to put down right away so they’re happy to space their appointments out. I highly suggest scheduling your appointment at Laurel Dental!"
"I only gave one star because you can’t give NONE! Don’t get me wrong the lady who cleaned my teeth “Daisy” was fantastic however he dentist is money hungry and what went from getting a simple crown turned into him telling me I need a root canal on top of the permanent crown mind you I had a crack in my tooth and tooth never bothered me. I was only getting the crown so I didn’t have issues in future. He ended up removing more of my tooth causing it to be very sensitive and I have been in pain the last two weeks. I have decided to go else where and just get the tooth pulled. I will never return to this dentist and do NOT recommend UPDATE: shortly after leaving this review the dentist himself contacted me and stated he would refund my money for the crown which I hope so considering I can’t afford it anyway and two I am getting the whole tooth pulled by another dentist. Guess we will see if I actually get my refund."
