"It’s hit or miss with Avalon. I’ve been with them for years. And in the past few years I’ve had issues. The latest being, the automated system to make apts, it’s convenient but then you begin to get text about can you come in earlier after they’ve already confirmed the apt. Today, I came in for a kids apt, only done at the Newport location. I had the apt for about a week. They’ve gone back and forth with me about changing the time but no one thought to update the insurance. I get to the apt and told because insurance wasn’t updated (I updated within minutes of them asking for it) the system “cancelled” the apt and then once verified they added him back to schedule but now he is required to wait because others are now here for an apt that was already scheduled for him. I believe they overbooked as it seems both locations do which is why they ask to change the apt time. It’s time for a change."

"I have been a patient of Avalon Dental since Dr. Farhi came to Delaware. In all these years, I have found the staff to be patient-oriented and considerate of patients always needs. Both locations are designed to reduce stress and increase the comfort of patients. They provide reminders of appointments and are mostly right on schedule. Be prepared to contact them by text as reaching them by phone can be difficult. I have referred family, friends and employees to this practice over the years and all have been very happy with the exceptional care they have received, even those with “dental care-phobia”.
