"What a brilliant idea and a gorgeous space! We stayed in the Writer’s Den and there was a wonderful selection of books that I thoroughly enjoyed reading the backs of and planning my reads for 2024. Such a wonderful getaway in an adorable town. I highly recommend getting away and enjoying the local restaurants and shopping. We will definitely be back. "My wife and I decided to stay here as a Christmas present to each other, and we absolutely loved every single bit of it. We stayed in the “Writer’s Den.” The bed is a cloud, the bathroom is gorgeous, the kitchenette has everything you need, and the upper level is the perfect getaway. The location can’t be beat for walking around town and visiting all the establishments. The owner, Stephanie, has been a gem to work with. Her communication and attentiveness is superb. We will be back."

"The Bookhouse Hotel is a must stay! My husband and I came to Kennett Square to visit Longwood Gardens and had a wonderful time. The Study was a perfect blend of moody, cozy yet upscale with touches of whimsy. Having the books at our fingertips made it feel as if we were in our own private bookstore! It took us extra long to get ready because we kept looking at the books reading a few pages, pulling out another book...... The sheets were deliciously comfortable, there were even pencils and an old school pencil sharpener! We easily walked to dinner, drinks and breakfast - just around the corner. Will definitely stay again!"

"We only stayed for one night after a Longwood Garden visit but we’ll be back for a longer stay for sure. I absolutely loved this hotel. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, the sheets were super soft. I loved the decor and the atmosphere, just so comfy. They have great book selections and the attic room was super cute. It’s walking distance to all the restaurants."
