Petrunich Oral Surgery

"I had a very old root canal that was deteriorating and I was in excrutiating pain. My Primary dentist suggested the tooth should be extracted, the tooth was abcessed. He put me on an antibiotic & an NSAID, and I seeked out an Oral surgeon. I found Dr. Petrunich, made an appointment. The staff was extremely kind, and was able to schedule an apppintment for an extraction within few days. The staff explained clearly that since my insurance did not cover this process & that payment was expected the same day & kindly provided an estimate & this seemed very reasonable. The day of the procedure, the staff was extremely kind & thorough, & Dr.Petrunich was nothing but professional, compassionate, informative throughout. I would definite suggest this practice for extractions."

He demonstrated outstanding proficiency and kept me abreast of what to expect during the procedure. He displayed the utmost professionalism and kept me at ease during the entire process. "Go somewhere else!! My wife and myself had a horrible experience here. On referral from our Dentist, Dr Petrunich extracted my wife’s molar after a failed root canal. They fit us in their schedule since she was in pain. They made me leave the room for the extraction. His assistant was rude and unsympathetic stating to her “it’s done now” in an annoyed tone. My wife was in excruciating pain and had to rush out of the office. After getting her in the car, I went back in to settle the bill. The lady said since her insurance had been “used up” the balance due was $430. I paid the bill and left. My wife’s recovery has been horrible. She had bruises on her jaw and still has pain from the whole experience. She had dry socket as well as we followed up with our Dentist. No follow up call or correspondence from this office at all until now. Yesterday we received a bill stating we had a balance due of $35. I just called the office and spoke with Lisa. She said after they sent the claim to insurance the bill came in with a balance due. I asked her why they would send it to insurance if it was all “used up” and I had already paid the bill when we were there. She said that is what we owe. I expressed our displeasure with her office and went into the details with the pain my wife experienced and why wasn’t she sedated for the extraction? Lisa stated that’s all patients are given a choice at the beginning. That choice was never offered to her. I feel as though since our insurance was all “used up” we were treated differently."
