Reviews of Temple University Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry
"I can see why they have 3 stars. Getting anyone from any department on the phone to assist you is like pulling teeth. Pun intended. If they answer at all, they'll pawn you off on another department. The students themselves are hit or miss, some clueless and some professional. They don't always get it right, but they're under the direction of the doctors so if any blame is to be given, it's to the doctors. I needed two similar procedures done in the same week for the same tooth and was told "well, you were not in as much pain the first time" by a supervisor. I was in tears when I arrived the first time and stated I wasn't sleeping. Perhaps bleeding out would have gotten the message across and avoided the second painful procedure. Some of the staff discriminate against state insurance which feels awful because I don't think that anyone that knows the reality of Medicaid voluntarily has terrible insurance. I was asked "are you trying to get a job?" First, this is wildly inappropriate when scheduling a root canal. Second, the sheer lack of humanity was maddening. When informed that I was forced to switch to a different state insurance, this was met with an eye roll by the supervisor and I was accused of holding back information. I haven't met one person on earth that enjoys getting dental work. While the clinic isn't all bad, they certainly don't make the experience more pleasant. It's not void of kindness, but finding those pockets is difficult at best."
"I have received more thorough and attentive care as well as better quality care from Temple dental school than I have from my previous dentist. The students are very good at detail and listen to your concerns. If you have major dental problems, for example 6 mos ago I had a molar removed, the regular dentist will perform the work, while students watch. Just be prepared to spend an entire day here, it will be at least a 3 hr appointment. However wait time was minimal."
"I went in for my wisdom teeth extraction it went well the first doctor explained to me everything that was going to happen and how things work which was really helpful and the other doctor was doing my extraction along with the team who took care fairly well. Thank you to them and their team! I'm only on the second day we'll see how this journey of recovery will go lol"
"Cindy rocks!!!! But this dentist school sucks big time!!! 1 year 1 month to put a crown in my mouth. Then they don’t take payment plans. They never motioned this to me. I had them cancel on me 6 times and waisted over 120 dollars in Uber fees. Then they won’t even cut a break on the price for all the trouble they caused me. I had two supervisors say they will call me and discuss the situation but it’s been 2 months now. Latisha should be fired she can’t return calls after she promised. This place has no communication what so ever!!!!"
"Id rather go in debt with a different dental office than deal with Temple ever again! Save your time and money because you will never receive fast service. And on top of that they charge $20 to demonstrate how to brush your teeth. I need more work done now because of them telling me i have to wait. If I could get a refund i would because they literally did nothing!"
