"The young woman who led our tour spent more time talking about herself in her own personal interests and she did anything about the history of Yale or even the buildings or where we were. At one point an underground library was mentioned and when someone asked why they built the underground Library the response was why not? When it seems quite obvious that if you don't know something you should just tell people. Very disappointing tour that lasts about 20 minutes and only goes to five spots. And one of those spots the last one is close to the bookstore and you are prompted to go there to take advantage of a discount you get for taking the tour. Not good, Yale."
"What an amazing experience for my daughter and I. Even though we couldn't go inside, we has a great experience. The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and personable."
"I lived near Yale my entire life and never took a drive to visit the campus until last weekend. The general guided tour was fun, insightful and definitely worth it. The tour took a little less than an hour. Be sure to wear your walking shoes since you’ll be walking and standing the whole time. I was blown away by the architecture (especially the library) and Yale’s history. We brought our 18 month child on the tour and I wish we brought our stroller. I would recommend taking a stroller with you for any small kiddos so you don’t have to carry them the whole time or chase them down. The tour starts at the visitor center and ends near the campus bookstore. Parking is easy to find in front of the visitor center on the street. There are plenty of restaurants near where the tour ends so be sure to check that out and to grab a Yale shirt at the campus bookstore or the local store that sell Yale merchandise too."
"A nice attraction located in the center of the city that offers free Yale campus tours from college students. Definitely a great way to learn and tour the campus. We saw many buildings on campus and learned a lot of cool history. Definitely a must see while in town."
"Visitors center of the University of Yale. Next to the campus and in an old wooden house. Open most of the day, provides information and assistance to all visitors. They have a small exhibition about this university and also organise free tours. We took the 1:30pm one on a Sat and it was very informative. The girl doing the tour was a student and she was very informative and passionate. Tour takes you around the campus whilst you learn about the history of this institution. The campus is amazing and a delight to see. The U.S version of Oxford!"
