"I like their fish selection, a lot, and they have an excellent cheese and cold cuts section. The reason that I’m not giving them five stars is because of the fact that they got rid of small shopping baskets. If you’re coming in to just get a few items, having a cart is very cumbersome, and it slows you down. So instead, you see the store filled with people clutching their groceries because they just want a few items and they want don’t want to deal with a cart. Please bring back the handbaskets."

"I liked this Northampton Big Y until yesterday, August 9. A sign clearly stated that Wild caught King Crab selling for $7.99. When I asked for a few pounds from a guy, the lady nearby raised her voice , yelling that the King Crab is selling for $9.99, not $7.99. I pointed out the sign, and the lady said she did not make the sign. She angrily repeated the same phrases three times, intimidating me like I have a hearing problem. She grabbed the sign and hid it to cover up the mistakes. They called the manager as I had done something wrong. Two managers came. Manager Rob professionally apologized for the mistakes. During the whole time the lady and the staff had an attitude problem. Not only did they try to cover up the mistakes, but they also treated the customers like idiots."

"I absolutely love this Big Y location! They have an amazing variety of Organic and Locally made food options. They have a huge selection of Sushi, Fresh Sandwiches, Hot Food, a Salad Bar, an Olive Bar, Cheeses, Seafood, Meat, as well as a large variety of wine and liquor. They also have fresh flowers and plants. The only downside would be that they charge for shopping bags."
