Reviews of Michaels
"Nicole and Susie are really the source of this bad review but we have to leave the details under the store. My husband went in there mid December looking for a gift for our son. It wasn’t in stock even though the website said it was, so the clerk ordered it for him. Stated it would be in Dec 24th, possibly before. My husband called 12/23, no item, called 12/24 no item. They called 12/26 to say it was in. I went in 12/29, I approached Nicole and asked her where I would go to find this item that they had called to say was in. She radioed someone and told me “someone’s looking for it.” Then she walked away from me. Did not tell me where to go, what to do, who would be helping me. I proceeded to wait and watch her come and go. Nobody came out to help me. So I got in line at the register. I told the man behind the counter what I needed. He looked on his handheld machine and told me he had no idea and would have to get a manager. The manager (Susie) and Nicole, come out together. Nicole whispers to Susie, while looking right at me. Susie comes over with an instant attitude telling me that they don’t “order things here, so it would have to be an ups package or an online order.” I explained again and she continued to tell me I was wrong. I told her that she is now the 3rd person that I’ve explained this to and it doesn’t need to be this difficult. Susie told me, “you’re the one that’s being difficult!” I said, “thank you for being so rude to me.” She said, “I’m just responding to you,” then stomped off and never once went out back to look for the order. Literally out of 3 people, not one person cared enough to simply walk out back and look. Instead, I got constant attitudes and treated like I didn’t know what I was talking about. Clearly I do, or I wouldn’t have wasted my time and resources coming into that store. Perhaps having a positive, helpful attitude should be a requirement of working in a store…especially during the holidays…"
"I didn't know these were actual stores that are open"
"Very small selection of wedding guest books...there were only 3. Plus I can get them online for 1/2 the price"
"I almost never can find what I’m looking for here, and trying to find an employee to help is equally as difficult. Over Christmas time: Me: how much is this little black Christmas tree. Front End Employee: it’s 40% off. Me: there’s no price tag on it, can you tell me how much it is? FEE: sends someone to also go look and see there’s no tag on it. FEE: I don’t know, but it’s 40% off of whatever it costs. Blank stares all around. We did not end up purchasing the tree, and left. You can have all the nice merchandise in the world, but if you hire people who don’t care to sell it, your business is no good to anyone. The 2 stars are because of the nice merchandise only."
"I usually have good experiences at Michael's but this location left me with a bad feeling. Had all of their Halloween stuff listed at 70% off. The discount was not applied to all the advertised as discounted items at the register and they wouldn't change the total when pointed out. I was just told that not all items in the discount area were discounted. The misleading advertising made me uncomfortable and I left. If I hadn't noticed the blatant overcharge at check-out, I would have been ripped off."
