"If a parent is calling, they are likely in crisis along with their child. The intake woman is unkind at best. The website opening page states they are accepting new patients. This statement is deceiving as they are only taking patients for medication."

"Worst experience ever. Brought my son here for an evaluation. Came in for the first appointment in June to discuss our concerns. Provided my insurance information. She said she will run the insurance information and then I never heard anything more about insurance or any kind of payment due. We then came in in july for 2 evaluation appointments with my son. Again, nothing mentioned about any issues with insurance or payments due at either of those appointments. We couldnt book our appointment to discuss the results of the testing until today because apparantly the practice takes the ENTIRE month of August off. So here we are 3 months later finally having an appointment to review the results. I took off a half day from work to come to this appointment. They come out 10 minutes after my appointment time and announce that I have a $265 balance due and I cant keep my appointment today if I dont pay it. Now, keep in mind that nobody said anything having a payment due at the first THREE appointments and I received no bills from them whatsoever. Nobody bothered to call and say "hey you have an appointment coming up and you have a balance due and we cant keep your appointment if you dont pay it" Then at least if I knew ahead of time I could have been prepared to cough up $265 or at the very least made the decision not to waste a half day at work for the appointment. The worst part? The attitude of the person I was sent to when I asked to speak to a manager. I explained that I had no idea I had a balance due and nobody had informed me. She proceeded to tell me that it is my responsibility to pay attention to my deductible. I said ok thats fine but I did not know that insurance isnt picking it up as at this point I have met my deductible for the year. I have no idea when they billed for these services. Was it in June? July? Yesterday? If they billed it yesterday.....my deductible has already been met this year. If they billed it 3 months ago then it may not have been met at that point. Besides the fact that he has a secondary insurance that usually picks up what the primary doesnt and nobody told me that they dont even accept the secondary insurance. I asked her why someone couldn't have called or emailed me or something to let me know that I had a balance and they cant keep my appointment if I dont pay it. She said "we dont do that, its your responsibility" I said but you didnt even send me a bill. Dont you have some responsibility to let me know I owe you money? Her response was "we bill every 3 weeks and its your responsibility to know about your deductible" I tried to explain that the lack of communication on their part was extremely frustrating. All she kept saying was "its your responsibility to know you have a deductible" she was so condecnding like I was a 16 year old teenager.......I am a 36 year old adult there is no need to treat me like I am your child. Then.....I asked what they are going to do with the results of the testing and she said "they will stay here until you pay, you don't expect to go to the grocery store and not pay for your groceries do you?" I was so appaled and felt so distespected at this point I couldnt even believe it. She had this entire conversation right at the front window in front of at least 4 other people. My ex husband was also there with me and had taken time off to be at the appointment as well. As he is my EX-HUSBAND you can imagine we dont agree on much but he agreed that her tone and attitude was awful. I will never come back here as the staff is completely rude and disrepectful. Which is quite sad considering this is a place for PEDIATRIC BEHAVIORAL HEALTH. I cant imagine what they do with the children who come there and dont listen."
