"John and Jerry run the service portion of the gas station. Although the gas prices are among the highest on LI, (not related to the guys that lease and operate the service bays), the automotive service provided is excellent. John and Jerry are most importantly, honest and fair. The rates are reasonable (which is surprising, given the location. I would never have expected to find such a gem in this location). They stand behind any work they do and they do an excellent job. I have been using them for a number of years for all of my cars (several Chevy's, Subaru, and Mazda). Need to drop off your car and get a lift home? No problem. Want to drop it off in the morning and pick it up late at night.? Also not a problem (the gas station itself is open into the evening and they will give you the keys, take payment, or allow you to drop off at night with a note to John or Jerry for what you need.) I know and trust them so when I drop off a car for an oil change or inspection, I'll ask them to take a look to make sure everything is ok. Often they'll say, "you're fine, nothing needed". Sometimes they'll tell me if something is starting to go and will tell me how urgent it is to repair (e.g. "your front tires are starting to wear. You probably have another 5,000 miles left on them if you want to wait.") They understand that they are building a relationship and never try to make a quick buck on something. Guys like this earn your business and they deserve it."
