"Tried to schedule an appointment at this practice for months and it seems like they aren’t interested in caring for patients. They gave me the run around with bullcrap responses until they finally scheduled an appointment for me. A month out. As I’m looking forward to this appointment that’s in less than two days I get a call from the practice. They are asking my permission to reschedule (same day, different time). I didn’t listen to the voicemail until after office hours because i was at work. i responded in mychart that no, you do not have my permission to change the appointment because i cannot make any other time that day. When i looked on mychart the receptionists who scheduled the appointment took it upon themselves to reschedule the appointment for me, for the time i cannot do. My question is, why call and ask my “permission” to change the appointment if you’re just going to do it anyways? I find that super rude and unprofessional. After all this stress I don’t care enough to even see a doctor at this practice. I’ll be going to Hartford Healthcare where they actually care about their patients."

"I hate to be that person, but I was very disappointed with the doctor I saw. I went in for a personal issue that the less people know about, the better. He decided to bring a nurse and a trainee in after he said that he will be the only one doing it, and the nurse will be so they could not see anything. That didn’t happen. During the procedure, he made me extremely uncomfortable in an already very uncomfortable situation. After the procedure was all done, he seemed to find something funny and blatantly stared at the wall for one too many seconds, Sat me down and pretty much told me what I need to change, but he acted like I was wasting his time about me having another procedure to fix an issue I’ve had for a long time. He made me feel like he had better things to do, seemed to have no intentions on making it a comfortable visit. Having that Dr. Parker was an extremely uncomfortable experience. Would not recommend"

"This center desperately needs real therapists - specifically trained with weight issues on their staff to help you understand and emotionally work through the REASONS why you binge eat to the point of obesity. This is the major thing that is missing and is the MOST important. There is no therapeutic support, and it is really difficult to find an outside therapist that deals with these issues... For those of us suffering from binge eating and its physical manifestations, therapy should be an integral part of treatment besides the drugs, surgery and a once-a-month nutritional appt."
