"In December of 2016, I purchased a used work van from Brewster Motors. This van was advertised online. Overall the vehicle had low miles, cosmetic damage, rust on a rocker panel, and was an older model. Brewster motors claimed other than some rust on a rocker panel that the truck was in great condition, and that the vehicle ran great. After buying the vehicle and trying to have this van inspected did the problems begin. I was told by two mechanics that this van was structurally unrepairable and that I was lucky that this vehicle did not fail when I drove it. Both mechanics wanted nothing to do with the vehicle and told me that whoever sold me this vehicle was either dishonest or mechanical incompetent. On the lift they showed me the sever rust to the frame, and how these parts could not be repaired; it was obvious that I had bought a vehicle that should not be driven legally on the roads. One of the mechanics showed me the new brake lines which were put in by Brewster Motors, and asked me; if your replacing brake lines, but at the same time you unrepairble frame rot, and the transmission mount is almost falling out of its mount; how could you be an honest person if you claimed to be a mechanic. I called Brewster motors, and I was hung up on as soon as Tom knew who I was. I then texted Brewster motors, and after numerious texts I got a response. I told Tom that this issue was not going away. Tom agreed to take the vehicle back once he realized that I was willing to take them to court, however it took weeks for them to pick up the vehicle. Brewster Motors refused to reinburst me for new tires, the abs, and registration. In my opinion, you would have to be a complete fool to either buy or have work done at Brewster Motors. This business is not truthful, incompetent, and should not be in business. By the way, Brewster motors began advertising the sale of this vehicle online weeks after they took it back. Matter of fact they listed the vehicle for $500 dollars more. Overall I lost $1400 on the purchasing of the vehicle, which excludes all the time I had invested into this purchase."
