"The school is more focused on filling as many students as possible into one class that it makes it difficult to learn, when it’s finally time to do something hands on. Speaking about hands on, that they advertised is only 10% of the time and 90% sitting in class on a computer completing modules and watching YouTube videos, something that could’ve just done at home. The school feels rushed and over capacity with kids that don’t know how to act. You’re spending $35,000 to land a job that pay just above minimum wage. But hey at least they have an all gender bathroom"
"***DO NOT APPLY TO THIS SCHOOL*** I attended for a year and the teaching is horrible. I would say 2 out of the 8 teachers in automotive are very good. The rest of them was just a waste of time and money spent on this courses. They really make the school look really good with all the snap-on tools they have but the school is awful. No wonder students there talk about dropping out and applying to a different automotive school like Apex trade school."
"I am an alumni student from Lincoln tech. I graduated with a 3.95 gpa back in 2021 and I call tell you for a fact this school is absolutely garbage. This location is so terrible they can’t even have their own workers stay, from the time I graduated to now all of my old instructors left including all the career service members that were working at the time of my graduation. Don’t let my gpa fool you though because I basically paid to be in an adult book club . A lot of my hands on experience and knowledge has been from work because out of my whole time in Lincoln I received no less then 40 hours of training . It is a shame to have an establishment like this lie to their students especially knowing that the demographic of students are minorities coming from low income communities and are trying to change their financial situation. I can tell you the jobs that this school has recommended me to and let me tell you, they left me to drown . My first company ever was fire quench. Being as this about Lincoln tech I won’t go deep but this company was by far the worst company I’ve ever worked for in terms of management working conditions and requirements. Being a young man with no osha or license working in hazardous environments. I lasted a month their before I found my own job and it was only because that job required so much time from you there was no time for me to retained the license and certifications I needed for the job. When I needed a new job they recommended me to metro north which I was able to land an interview with. The recruiter at the time was supposed to email me a list of things to study in preparation of the interview unfortunately I never got the email until 3 hours of the interview. Of course I didn’t get the job I had to go and get the job I currently work at now . Now I understand I graduated years ago but I’m writing this because recently I got off the phone with two campus’s. One in Illinois and one in queens and treatment I got was VASTLY different. I got treated on the phone as if I was some scammer , all because I have job and wanted to see if there were any other opportunities but because I’m employed they don't need to help me ? That’s ridiculous, so for anyone out there looking to be an auto tech or electrician apex is your better option."
"DO NOT APPLY. THEY WILL TELL YOU NO SCHOOL IS PERFECT BUT THAT DOESNT NOT MEAN IT SHOULD BE THIS BAD. This is quite literally one of the worst schools you can attend. The staff does not care about your education, just your money. The head boss of the school, some racist guy named Michael Harrington who goes by Andrew (probably to hide behind his racist remarks) just enrolls anyone. They send out emails and texts every day for an "open house." The lady who unfortunately gave me the tour of the school was Joan and she looked afraid for her life near Andrew. She told me they have open houses to just promote the school because they struggle with enrollments. That should have been my cue to leave. The instructors all peaked in high school and try to act tough with the students. They look like they've never been to school themselves. They joke and clown around like this is a big game for them. And of course its because they aren't paying 50 GRAND for the classes. Everything they tell you about the school is lies. Better off going to LITERALLY any other school. They never have supplies and pull you a million times from class for different things. After reading some other reviews, I expect nothing more that a generated reply that says email student services because again THIS SCHOOL DOES NOT CARE UNLESS ITS ABOUT MONEY."
"If you are thinking of going to school to be an electrician please don’t go to this school. This school has one of the worst educational system in terms of teaching electricity. During Covid when students had to be separated we was forced to sit in a classroom with 30 and 40 students all bunched together. School never had materials for students to practice what you’re reading in a book. So if your a student that learns hands on then your done for in this school. Also they hire teachers straight out of the projects so you can only imagine the fights between teachers and students. I ended up failing and never graduated because of attendance due to the fights going on in class and in hallways. Now I’m just 40k in debt and deplomaless!! (Still have other students phone numbers and can reach out to verify everything said here)"
