"Imagine a place that could care less about you, your family, and your concerns. Yes, this place is it. People weakened by their mental illness would be better off going else were. Families with members here, please get them transferred out. The worst experience I have ever had from a "health center"."
"This place is horrible. The staff constantly tormented me. They tried to give me medicine that I'm allergic to. Disregard any post that are positive reviews, they are posted by people who clearly don't know the true nature of this place. And watch out for the man with rings on his fingers and glasses, he was one of the most abusive ones there. The ones who ACTUALLY went there are the ones who know how this place truly is. They just want to keep you there until your insurance won't pay anymore. Like in my case."
"Thank God there is a place to send your loved ones with behavioral health issues. This unit has saved our son several times. Vaneeta is a caring Social worker who takes a personal interest in her patients. This whole category of care is difficult and you should discount some of the negative reviews."
"My 11-year-old was there for 2 weeks. Visitors were treated insensitively by security, adding to the trauma already felt. The environment was neither family-friendly, nor inviting, regarding participating in the care of your loved one. Communication with the social worker was nonexistent, and the staff seemed put-upon to discuss the status, progress, or setbacks of my son. Dr. Yoon was the only positive, as she was open to discuss meds. Overall, I would not recommend this psychiatric hospital. Your loved one and you deserve better."
"Patients are kept drugged up to make it easier for the staff. Codes are called too quickly. Patients not given time to learn how to calm down or use coping skills. Atmosphere is not very therapeutic. It is more like a prison. Visitors are treated like they did something wrong and cannot be trusted. Visitors rules change depending on what security guards are on duty."
