"You get what you pay for, unreliable and dispatcher can be rude Have tried to use People's for a few years because the price ran less expensive; have alternated with Alpine which turns out to be more reliable. Last night was the breaking point, arrived at JFK, cleared customs, picked up baggage, no text on the driver's name or number. Called and spoke with the dispatcher who tells me I received a text the day before - ?? no, I did not which is why I am calling you. Text driver and is told go to D4 to meet, walk there, told go to C4 to meet, walk there, told go to parking lot row 115, walk there. Sent a text to the dispatcher so he knows what is going on. The next day I receive a rude series of text messages responding to my text messages saying that I am a liar, that I did not have to walk around to several locations to meet the driver, that I always complain. Called and am told go ahead speak, as I am speaking this man speaks over me and says you will not speak to me like a pool boy or maid - wow, what is wrong with being a person who maintains pools or a housekeeper? At the end I had to hang up due to his rude and offensive nature, I told him I would be posting my reviews on this experience. He then began a series of text messages insulting me, claiming I have always asked for discounts - I didn't not even when I was left in 2022 without a pick up for over 90 minutes because "Noel double booked me in Manhattan and then told me to come get you even though it would be over an hour late" per the driver! I hope somebody else will see this and choose Alpine or another company, to save $20-40 is not worth it."
"I have been using People’s Limousine Service for many years. I have to admit, when I first found them, I had called around and chose them because their price was the best. From that first trip, I received top notch service by their booking person and their drivers. Their drivers have been early and ready to get my family where we were going. The cars are clean and always fit all of our luggage. We just used them again for both a trip to and from the Manhattan Cruise Port. We had Valerie as our driver and she could not have been more professional and just simply nice. She was a safe driver and got us there on time. We were picked up today by Asmae who was already waiting when we made it off the ship. If you’ve ever been on a cruise ship, your not exactly sure when you’ll be off. She was standing by and as soon as I made it out of the terminal, she was already calling me for my pick up. I was given her cell phone number in my confirmation email so there would be no miscommunication. This company has proven every time that you can, in fact, find the best price and get professional service too. Their drivers are personable and very family friendly! I trust their drivers with my family’s safety and really that’s the highest compliment I can give."
"A solid car service company. We used Peoples Limo for the first time 12/26/18 for round trip airport transfer. They were super reliable, reasonable, friendly and prompt. Liked them so much that I booked them for our trip to JFK next month. We highly recommend them."
"I called Peoples after a referral from my sister in law. I had a special request because we had six people going to a cruise ship I knew we would have a lot of luggage, so I requested a van. Kimberly, the dispatcher I scheduled with assured me that their suburban or their escalade would easily carry 6 passengers and 10 luggage bags. She assured me that she was a reputable company as they regularly transport people from Yale. She quoted me a price to the cruise, then when I called to book it the price was $50 more. because the destination was NJ instead of NY...Well I told her NJ, but I accepted that and agreed. The car arrived as planned but was way too small for us and our luggage. The car was beat up, had the check engine light on and we had to put air in the tires at our house after we way-overloaded this car with the luggage on our laps. This was almost a two hour ride. The car was so full we couldn't even buckle our seat belts! So I called peoples to tell them I was upset and to request a larger vehicle on the return trip, I also emailed photos of the over loaded car. They sent the same car and the driver had the passenger seat filled with personal items (several boxes of pasteries, a cooler and a breifcase), so this time it was even tighter in the car and items were shifting againts our heads during our ride. I called peoples from the car and again afterward demanding a partial refund for this substandard service. I was told that I got what I paid for by Noel, the owner. I would not recommend this company to anyone."
"We chose to use this limousine service because we were assured that they had Graco Car Seats and that those car seats would be installed. Not only were they not installed, but they were some cheap brand of car seat that were missing straps. So we all came outside at four in the morning, with two toddlers in tow, and what should have been a quick pick up turned into 30 minutes out in the freezing cold trying to install car seats into seats that did not have the proper fittings or straps. On top of this, the vehicle sent was too small to accommodate our luggage and we had to strap most of it on the roof. The person I spoke to on the phone later only made excuses, and did not once apologize for any inconvenience. I cancelled the return pick up and here I am three months and three requests later still waiting on a full refund for the return trip in March that I cancelled in January. I will never use this limousine service again. Very unsatisfied!"
