"They sell your information to debt collectors if you don’t pay a large amount monthly for bills you owe. I gave birth 2 years ago at UMASS and had spoken with a woman (no clue who) over the phone who discussed a payment plan with me about a month after my birth to pay the $3000 i apparently owe just from giving birth. Fine I told them $10 a month. I got a very snarky response from this woman and was asked are you sure I said yup. Come to find out they weren’t charging me the $10 I SAID I would pay and instead the sold my info to debt collectors who nonstop call my phone constantly throughout the day, and even after blocking the number they now use different numbers to call me. So just be careful if you owe bills because apparently $10 a month is enough for them to not even charge you and just sell your info. I will NOT be using this network EVER again."
"This is the worst I’ve ever been treated at a hospital. I’m only giving one star because zero was not an option. I was accused of sleeping at the hospital overnight and escorted out by police while waiting for a friend and was going right over to emergency. I was not allowed to pick up my $50 worth of personal property just because of my homeless status at the time. Truly disgusting that human beings are treated this way by the hospital and their relationship with the Worcester Police Department. Both have a horrible track record of harassment and bullying of the homeless population here."
"I was sent to this UMASS Hospital (Leominster, Ma) for Emergency imaging as my Primary care Physician suspected Appendicitis. This particular facility has a history of extremely long wait-times to just get inside the ER. Once you’re inside, there’s still no promise that you’ll actually be in a room. Several Hospital beds with sick or injured patients are often placed in Hallways; strategically positioned against the Walls like some old ‘Nam War film. However, in stark contrast to the War film, the Nursing Staff here aren’t diligently caring for patients. They’re preoccupied with one another; conjugating like Bees at the Nurse’s station. They were apparently unable to hear the symphony of Call buttons—or they just simply don’t care. During my stay, I used my Call button & requested a simple Blanket & Pillow three times over the course of two hours. Eventually I received two blankets but they were out of Pillows. How does a Hospital run out of Pillows? Anyways, the real fun began when I was told I needed to take a Covid PCR test. I politely declined. I felt it was completely unnecessary as I had no symptoms and my CT scan confirmed Appendicitis. My Lungs were clear. Well, my Male Nurse ( unsure of his name) proceeded to tell me that I had two choices. 1. I could either allow him to stick the 8in long PCR Swab through my nose to my Olfactory Nerves & Cribriform plate; which the Hospital would then run @ 40 cycles. Anything ran at 36 cycles or higher & you’re basically creating loads of false positives, ( think asymptomatic cases) which invalidates ALL of the Covid data. ( said by the great & powerful Dr. Fauci himself) 2. I would be discharged from the Hospital & sent home where my Appendix would surely burst; causing a wide spread infection ( Sepsis) and I’d die in a week. This Male Nurse at a U.S Hospital actually told me in a haughty & condescending tone, “Comply or Die.” What’s worse? The Resident ER “specialist” Dr. Hong was standing right beside him in agreement. I was, and still am, completely shocked by this. I was badgered by other Staff & interrogated; told that the PCR test isn’t faulty, and that unless I complied with their order I wouldn’t be permitted into the Operating room. I explained that they already had my blood & urine. Why can’t Covid be tested that way? Why has this Virus yet to be isolated? Why is it undetectable unless it’s put through a sham PCR test that’s not even FDA approved? The Staff also complained that I wasn’t wearing two Masks while I was sleeping in my own room! I couldn’t help but laugh—it felt like some sort of alternative reality. I’m no Virologist, but I do know that a Surgical Mask’s holes are thirty times larger than a Covid Virus particle. To put that into perspective for you, it’s like putting up a Chain-link fence to protect you & others from Mosquito bites. In the end, I stood my ground. I told them I’d spit in a cup and they could test that—or I’d sue if they refused to take out my Appendix. They chose the cup. From now on I’ll be choosing a Hospital that still stands in support of our Freedoms & is against any/all forms of totalitarianism. I suggest that you do the same. ✝️"
"Wow! Not what I was expecting at all! The worst experience in health care ever! Staff is aloof at best. The nurses are okay, but very unsure of the what their patients needs are. Maybe this was just the 3rd floor, but if it indicative of the organization, find care else where. Clearly not in the business of patient experience. I had asked to come off the assignment of one of the nurses, he forgot my pain meds and i was worried about what else he would forget! can you believe I was ignored after that? The clerks at the front desk would answer my call bells, doesn’t that sound dangerous?"
"1 star only because I cant give less Worst hospital when it comes to communicating. Specifically when it comes to informing parents of what's going on with their child's cancer treatment! And they love to ignore transfer requests. We demanded a transfer 5 different times and each time we were told "I'm sorry you feel that way" and nothing else was done!"
