Reviews of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Basking Ridge
"I followed my oncologist from University of Pennsylvania to MSK I was being seen at the basking ridge site. He recommended I see a dermatologist here for an annual screen not related to the cancer I have but due to increase risk. He left MSK and I stayed with MSK and also continued with the dermatologist. That being said I moved in the meantime but drove 2 hours for my dermatology appointment and told when I got here she left. No call or email cancellation. Unacceptable having cancer is stressful enough. Done with MSK unprofessional back to U of P."
"we waited three weeks for the next available appointment for my dad.... 3 weeks to show up and be told they hadn't obtained his most recent test results from summit health... what an absolutely maddening experience, deserves 0 stars"
"My wife is doing her 10th round of chemotherapy, we’ve had 3 rounds in NYC and 7 here. They are incredibly unorganized here! Here’s a prime example. In the city we had 5 different appointments on one day and had a total of 35-45mins of wait time- everything was back to back. Over here the AVERAGE wait time is 1.5hrs.. most recently we waited around for 3.5 hours! They didn’t do the right labs (1hr wait to re-do labs), didn’t hear back from a doc who they EMAILED! (2hr wait time, doc definitely came from home last min), and now we’re waiting for the meds to mix (wait time TBD) This facility cannot be MSK.. it’s an unorganized cluster. I’ll give it a second star only because there are some nice nurses who work here.."
"I went to schedule a skin cancer screening for melanoma using your new 3D body scan technology. It says right on your website that this screening can be done for people who have, had, or are at high risk for melanoma. As a preventative treatment plan, and being that I fall into a higher risk category, I wanted to make an appointment. The lady who called me back said that the doctors will not just scan me but would also need to treat me for a skin cancer diagnosis. What sense does that make? What the hell is the point of getting a scan to see if you have something, if the doctor is not going to treat you unless you have cancer already? In other words, am I suppose to get a diagnosis of cancer first, then go for your preventative cancer scan? Again, this makes zero sense. Either your website content is wrong, and if so please fix it. Or, your employee is severely misinformed and needs to understand what exactly you are offering at your facility. Or, perhaps she is just grossly incompetent and needs to be replaced. Thankfully, I researched more and found that Mount Sinai in NYC offers this same preventative screening for those at higher risk. I will be going there."
