The BRIDGE School

The BRIDGE School, located at 1186 King Street in Rye Brook, Connecticut, is a specialized educational institution focused on building responsibility, independence, and dignity through growth and education. At The BRIDGE School, we offer a comprehensive program that works closely with families, students, and educational professionals to help each student reach their academic potential and explore possibilities beyond the school setting. Our New York State Department of Education approved non-public school serves students ages five to twenty-one with primary disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Multiple Disabilities, Orthopedic Impairment, Traumatic Brain Injury, Speech Impairment, and Other Health Impairments.

We maintain strong relationships with regional Committees on Special Education and the New York City Department of Education to ensure that each student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP) is met. Our ten-month session includes a six-week summer program that offers various services such as vision services, assistive technology, music therapy, adaptive physical education, and more.

The BRIDGE School provides interdisciplinary services including occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, vision services, and social work, along with on-site registered nurse services. Our admission process involves collaboration with the child's home school district or the New York City Department of Education to determine eligibility and secure necessary documentation for review by our admissions committee.

Cerebral Palsy of Westchester, our parent organization since 1949, has been a leading non-profit organization in Westchester and Fairfield County, providing essential educational services, vocational training, and advocacy for individuals with cerebral palsy and other disabilities. We are dedicated to empowering each student to achieve their full potential and lead fulfilling lives.
