"Ms. Cohen presented as an angry and personally involved advocate for the children.   She was neither optimistic nor supportive that reunification between the children and the mother was likely or even beneficial.   She was critical of the mother and combative with the attorneys.   In his report, Mr. Anger stated that “in my discussions with Lauren's therapist, Susan Cohen, it has been made clear that Ms. Cohen has not supported the reconciliation process between Lauren and her mother, at this point.”  (Exhibit 2.) Mr. Anger presented as a balanced, caring and neutral mental health professional.   He seems to be working well with Matthew although confesses that Lauren, at this juncture, refuses to meet with or communicate with her mother.   He supports unsupervised visitation between Matthew and his mother which should graduate to overnights with the goal of eventually restoring full and equal custody and visitation between the two parents. Susan Cohen NEVER met the mother until she was in court. They dismissed her because of her NEGATIVE UNPROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE. NO one should ever be served by a poor therapist that's unhealthy."

"I did not find Susan a good fit for facilitating communication and effective listening between 2 adults; granted we only used her for a short amount of time (5 months). Her time management was mediocre compared to other professionals in all fields (except contractors). [For example she double booked an appointment which resulted in cutting the appointment time short by 20 minutes, was a no show once and late a couple times.]. Perhaps she excels in other areas of therapy. She is part of the workman’s healthy living program where my ex works and she was free for the first (I think) 10 sessions; I would expect more effective practitioners to help support the employee health of a major corporation. She does offer video sessions - which earned her one star. Unfortunately, I would not recommend Susan for an adult or “couples” therapy. Best of luck to you in your search."

"I wish I had something nice to say about susan. I tried 8 full sessions with her and was not thrilled. Looking for another therapist my insurance suggested her again but after one visit I had enough. First walking in she had political decorations around the office, which although I respect opinions, in a professional therapeutic environment keep that to yourself. She was terrible at directing conversation, repeatedly telling me we could just talk about whatever when I all but begged her to ask insightful questions to push things along when they halted. THEN TWICE SHE FELL ASLEEP IN OUR SESSIONS. I didnt say anything because who knows what her life is like but twice? After 8 sessions I didnt go back until my insurance suggested her. Booked a session for 6 oclock on a monday, she confirmed, and when I went to her office, she never showed up! She 100% blew me off and did not answer multiple phone calls. She called me the next day to say she didnt hear my car but...why did she wait 24 full hours to get ahold of me? DO NOT GO TO HER."
