Lisa Discher is a licensed professional counselor located at 270 Farmington Avenue in Farmington, Connecticut. With over 10 years of experience, Lisa specializes in providing individual and family counseling services. She holds a Masters degree from Villanova and an Advanced Degree in Professional Counseling from Central Connecticut State University. Lisa takes a strengths-based approach to therapy, tailored to meet the specific needs of each client. Her areas of focus include depression, anxiety, trauma-related history, co-occurring disorders, women’s issues, parenting struggles, chronic mental health needs, chronic medical needs, and young adult transitions. Additionally, she has a passion for working with new and established mothers who are struggling with perinatal and postpartum mental health issues.

Lisa believes in creating a supportive and accepting atmosphere for her clients, helping them navigate through life's challenges and reach their goals. She offers counseling services for adults ages 18 and up, and is currently accepting new clients for in-person sessions at her Farmington office, as well as through HIPAA-compliant Telehealth. Lisa is paneled in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Husky, and Tri-care.
