"My son has been seeing James at Above And Beyond and I can’t say enough about how happy I am. He’s very patient, understanding and professional. I really like how he encourages me or my husband to join in on the sessions with our son. It helps us learn how to apply the coping skills that James is teaching him. And our son really likes him too, which is very important. James has many games that our son likes to play and he doesn’t even realize at the time that he is learning coping skills. I would highly recommend Above And Beyond to anyone considering therapy."

"My son has been seeing Mr. James for the past 7 years. The first 5 years were absolutely fantastic. My son did so well with him. The past two years, however, have been an absolute nightmare. It is so difficult to get ahold of anyone at the facility. During 2020, the therapist no showed to at least 5 set appointments. We were very understanding of this as this was a tough year for everyone. The past 2 months, the appointment days or times have been changed without my consent - causing no show appointments on the patient end for appointments that were never mutually agreed upon. The best way to reach the therapist has been via email, until he stops responding. I feel as though the care for my child as completely declined. This is extremely disheartening and disappointing as my child has been a long time patient. I can't express enough how being a long time patient makes this extremely upsetting. I truly felt as though a better, and stronger relationship was built over the years instead of having to feel like another number to a healthcare provider. .....It's unfortunate a long time patient isn't considered a valued patient. The provider concerns still did not get addressed after making several attempts to discuss with the provider directly. Instead of assisting with the issue and taking accountability, the provider ceased services to my minor for posting this review. I would highly recommend parents outreach for assistance elsewhere."

I personally have been to several different counseling services and always felt like I was never being heard but since attending Above and Beyond that all changed. I hope to never have to change again."
