"They only care about the money. I went here for anxiety and depression and family trauma. and everytime I went there it was either pay up or no service, they refuse to bill you, or to push it until next session. Every other therapy I have been to after or prior to this has done more to accommodate to the client and is understanding with payments but to refuse/kick out a client because they couldn’t pay, I was a child at the time probably about 13/14 and my parents would drop me off cause they had work. The therapist then after ever other session began to bump up my rates and degrade my parents by creating their own bias on them and forcing that on me. These ladies don’t deserve to have a business such as this. Completely unacceptable"

"I went here for a year or so at the lowest point in my life after being hospitalized for being suicidal. I never found her particularly helpful, but I'd only had one therapist before her that I ever found extremely helpful, so I didn't think much of it. Towards the end of our period of working together I started asking her about Western CT Mental Health Network in Torrington, CT because I heard that it was a more intensive therapy facility for people like me that really needed help. I heard that WCMHN offered free classes in art and hobbies, group therapy of all kinds, and had specialists in everything as well as psychiatrists, therapists, and nurses all in the same building. I talked to my therapist here at Counseling Services in Litchfield about it because I needed a referral and she immediately tried to shoot me down. She told me I didn't need the help. That I'd only been hospitalized for one suicide attempt. My condition wasn't serious enough. I believe she didn't want to lose my money as a client because even though she told me "there are people that really need the help" when I got to WCMHN and was accepted they were shocked and horrified by my condition and what I'd been through. They said it was more than appropriate for me to be a client there. Five years later and they've saved my life. Counseling Services of Litchfield almost ended my irresponsibly for money and if I could I'd have this place shut down. My mother also attended there at that time and she told me her therapist, the other one of the two that work here, used to always fall asleep on here and didn't really do anything therapy-wise for her, basically just uh-huhed her to death. These women should be ashamed of themselves and not allowed the practice."
