"Absolutely incredible care. Human to human healthcare. Everything about Coastal Ob/Gyn is beyond five stars. We were in a very scary pregnancy situation from day one. Dr. Aksel and the entire team were so on top of our care. All the doctors were empathetic and informative. We had ups and downs and they carried us through it all. The front desk crew is out of this world. They answer the phones directly and make sure things are done quickly. They always treated me with such compassion and kindness. With our history and situation going to the doctor's office could have been so scary every time. However everyone from the front desk, to the nurses, medical assistants, all the way to the doctors made a scary place feel like a safe place. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Aksel and his team for getting my little girl here safely. There are very few practices like this left. I feel blessed to be a patient here."

"I wasn’t bothered by the bad reviews of this practice and went anyways. I had no issues with billing or the admin staff (great experiences in their office all around- though I had a very uneventful pregnancy). In office, I enjoyed meeting with all of the OBs in the rotation. Dr Cahill delivered my baby and I had a bad experience, but maybe the other OBs would have been great, hard to say. Dr Cahill delivered my baby at Stamford Hospital. I enjoyed him prior to this and thought he was very personable. A few small things were less than ideal during my birth, but I will focus on what is relevant to why I won’t be back to this practice. Dr Cahill arrived in the room as my baby was crowning which I understand is typical and not at all a factor in my negative experience. I was pushing on my side with a wonderful nurse and my doula. Dr Cahill wanted me on my back, I said I couldn’t move and needed to stay in the position I was in, but Dr Cahill grabbed me by my ankles and dragged me screaming down the bed while my baby was crowning. It happened within seconds of my baby being born so there was no way to address it in the moment, but women deserve better. My doula who had attended many births pulled me aside later to tell me she was shocked and was available for support if I needed to process what happened. It is arguably the most vulnerable experience you will ever have and you deserve to be treated like a human. To my knowledge there was no medical emergency that necessitated him to override patient consent. I will not use this practice in the future, and I consider this a lesson to do a better job of screening providers if I have any future pregnancies. Maybe this was a fluke or a misunderstanding, but I wouldn’t take the risk again."

"I have loved my experience here through both pregnancies and post partum medical issues. I’ve never not felt heard or helped. They are a very busy practice and on an average appointment they do get straight to the point. But when I had an ailment that was very difficult to diagnose they called me every few days to check in on new meds, procedures etc. to be updated. And it went on for a few months and they never lost interest, made me feel they were going to give up helping. Recommended specialist and followed up with them and me within hours of those appts. Cahill was my doctor for both deliveries and was concerned, caring and reassuring all well being his bubbly funny self to help keep me at ease. OB doctors all have a different style and sometimes a good fit isn’t there, but I’m shocked at any comments that they rush and don’t care. They were very concerned, caring doctors and are there when you need them. And I personally love the energy they all bring with their humor. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!"

"I gave this office the benefit of the doubt after an awful 1st miscarriage experience. My first appointment at 6.5 weeks the ultrasound person made several comments about how early I had been booked. Just a bad attitude, missed opportunity and now looking back that it was my second miscarriage, it was hurtful. I will never come back thanks to that experience. Do better! If it’s not the secretaries it’s the other staff. I do not recommend this place. This was March/April 2023."

"I worked with Dr.Sarp Axler over the phone and he quickly met me at the ER in short time he made me feel comfortable and was able to safely and quickly save my life in a high risk situation while making me very aware of everything going on prior to surgery and following the surgery. I have been coastal for almost 11 years and all the doctors are Amazing from regular pap check up, to delivering my son to now helping me in this high risk situation. I am truly thankful and grateful and look forward to continuing to work with the office and Dr axler"
