"This review is based on the experience I had with the ultrasound tech in the new haven office. Picture this, first baby, nervous and excited to confirm viability. The older woman who was performing the ultrasound was very short with us, rude, and overall it felt like she couldn’t be bothered. It was not a friendly experience for such an exciting time for new parents."

"I switched to this practice after difficult first pregnancy. My previous doctors didn’t listen to me. I had a complicated high risk second pregnancy. I met w all the doctors in the practice thought out my time. Every doctor/aprn/midwife I worked w was amazing. I have no doubt their care literally saved my life. I am not an easy patient- the decisions they made were all based on science and sourced up to date evidence. They provided me education and guidance. I felt truly taken care of and in good hands. I would highly recommend this practice. The way they delivered my healthcare was kind, patient, and thoughtful."

"I’ve been seeing Dr. Tonzola for several years and recently saw Dr. Edusa. I’ve also seen Dr. Lima when I had an urgent concern. All 3 are pretty dismissive of any concerns I have and they can’t get you out of their office fast enough. It really feels like they all work on commission for selling birth control. I’ve had very negative experiences here over the years and the last time was with Dr. Edusa and was the final straw. I felt like I was crazy for even asking questions and I was a huge inconvenience. She asked if I had any questions at the beginning and I said yes if you have time and she replied “well as long as it’s related to gynecology” I should have just walked out at that moment because it just got worse from there. I felt embarrassed and ashamed for days afterward. I’ll be finding a new practice but I’m afraid all women’s health is like this."

"I moved to the area at 34 weeks pregnant, and Greater New Haven was the second practice I called in my frantic search for a doctor to take me so far along AND during Covid. The very first receptionist I spoke to, upon hearing my story, IMMEDIATELY got me the earliest appointment possible. I was initially taken aback that I saw a different provider on each visit, but completely understand the thought behind it. My baby was delivered by Elizabeth Schwartz and Dr. Julie Shih was the OB on call. Both of them were warm, friendly, professional, and sympathetic listeners during my labor. My husband is a medical professional so he had technical questions which they gladly discussed with him, while focusing on giving me the direct down-to-earth care I wanted as I labored. I had some delivery complications which they handled beautifully, resulting in me and my baby both having an excellent hospital recovery. However, I did have some postpartum issues (unrelated to GNH's actions), and Elizabeth scheduled extra in-person and telehealth appointments to monitor my health and ensure I received the care I needed. My baby and I are now both healthy, and I was able to accomplish the drug-free labor that was my goal! Note: there is always an office wait time, which is difficult for my family situation. Otherwise this would be a 5-star review!"

"I cannot express how amazing everyone at the Greater New Haven OB/ GYN group is. I changed practices midway with my first pregnancy and it was the best decision I ever made. Every encounter with everyone in the office was great. Being a first time mom I had a lot of questions. Not once did I feel my questions or concerns weren’t addressed. I felt empowered going into labor knowing I had a great team that wanted the best for my baby and myself. Delivery wasn’t easy and I ended up with a c section but I was informed of every step during the process. The doctor and midwife on call made sure I was as comfortable as possible and aware of all of my options. If you’re looking for a great practice with people that genuinely care look no further!"
