"I have been a patient at this practice for 15 years. Have seen multiple providers aside my primary who is Dr P. All have been kind, professional and caring. To all the people oh I can’t get an appointment complaints. Try getting an appointment at your primary. It’s not solely this practice problem. It’s a universal issue in healthcare. Yea, you may have to wait a week or so to get seen. The care that you receive is personable. You don’t feel rushed. I mean ladies we are baring our bits. They don’t make you feel uncomfortable. I do agree with the business side. They basically demand payment. Which is not a bad thing. But it does feel a bit meh. It’s not to mean offense. They are providing a service. You don’t get your groceries without paying or your online orders of whatever. But it’s kinda like make me pay before I go in, not after."
"I never leave online reviews but feel like it’s needed so first time moms know this is not the standard of care. Switched to this practice for my 2nd pregnancy, bc I wanted to deliver in Danbury since it’s much closer to my house than where I had my first baby. Went in for my first appt at 7 weeks. To start off, they had me sitting in the hallway at the nurses station to take my vitals and ask me personal family information. Every other doctor I’ve been to in my life, that gets done privately by the nurse in the room you see the doctor in. When I met with the doctor, she told me I needed to stop nursing my son immediately as it can cause uterine contractions which can cause a miscarriage. I was confused by this, as I am pretty healthy and always read about moms nursing while pregnant and then going on to tandem feed. I didn’t press her too much on that but went home and did my own research. She also told me I would be drug tested at my next appointment bc it’s CT state law, which never happened when I was pregnant the first time, and I found out that was false as well. Then, I was expecting to get my first ultrasound that day by the doctor, as that’s how it went with my first pregnancy at my previous doctor. Instead I got a pelvic exam? And the doctor said “you feel about 7 weeks pregnant” ????. She told me to go schedule my first ultrasound at the front desk. I went to do that and the soonest appointment they had available was 2 weeks from then “because they are short on ultrasound techs”. So now my husband and I now have to take an additional day off of work and find childcare for an additional day bc they don’t allow anyone under the age of 18 in the office. Not to mention, probably pay more for an additional visit. Then, what happens if I’m having issues during pregnancy and need to get in for an ultrasound right away?? Anyways, I made the appointment for the ultrasound. During that waiting period, I had a day where I had a horrible migraine for 24 hours straight. Called the office and spoke to a nurse, she told me she would call me back and it took over 2 hours for that to happen. When she called me back, she told me to take ibuprofen (which you’re not supposed to take while pregnant) and drink a coffee… didn’t trust them at this point and didn’t take that advice. After all of this, I was still planning on giving them the benefit of the doubt and bringing up my concerns to the drat my next visit. Then I go in for the ultrasound on a Saturday. The woman at the front desk was extremely rude. She was rambling off a couple different charges I had to pay that day — $238 for the ultrasound (which again at my previous doctor was done BY MY DOCTOR not an ultrasound tech at the same time as my first appointment and not charged separately. ) and a $54 charge. My husband and I both heard $54 and I questioned what it was for. She said with an attitude— “it’s the monthly payment, it’s in the paperwork you signed, don’t you remember??” I was like no but ok and payed it. A week later I get a call from their insurance department explaining that it was not $54 but $575! And that I would need to pay $575 monthly until delivery. She also added that I never signed the paperwork for this and it would be at the desk for my next visit. So I was not only lied to about the amount but pressured into paying it saying I signed the paperwork when I didn’t. Also I’ve never heard of such a payment policy. They should not be stressing pregnant women out like this. I will say that the insurance lady was very nice, probably sensed the panic attack I was about to have on the phone, and said we could meet to talk about my options at my next appointment. Needless to say, next appointment didn’t happen. I cancelled all of my appointments, asked for that $575 to be refunded, and returned to my previous doctor who delivered my first. Went to that appt today, had my ultrasound done by my doctor, didn’t get charged a dime today, and she told me it was perfectly fine to keep nursing my son."
"Dr Gillotti and Dr Falter are wonderful. I've never had a problem there. Sometimes your seen quickly other times they can be backed up which is to be expected at a doctor's office. The office staff has always been pleasant to me. Dr Falter delivered two of my babies and has always been amazing. He delivered my first even before I knew who he was bc she was a pandemic baby and they wouldn't let any off site doctors in. Not to sure why this facility only has 3 stars. Guess it's the world we live in no one ever says anything positive anymore. But if they have something negative to say they go out of their way to post it."
"Make sure to double check the day and time of your appointment at this practice. They cancel appointments the same day. You aren't told about possible Saturday appointments. They offer a Saturday with appointment times then aren't there. When I showed up for a Saturday appointment early the doors were locked. The answering service couldn't help."
"This place is awful! I have had issues with this place since the first day I visit the facility, but kept my hopes up thinking it was just little inconveniences, until today! The staff is unhelpful and they take forever to solve the simplest things. Most places have a 10 minute grace when you are late, but not here! Their blood work department has the most ridiculous hours (8am-12pm) take off time from work just to their convenience! They have only one ultrasound specialist (expect them to re-schedule you last minute) and then tell you that they won’t be able to see you because their tech has to leave. Also, expect them to make you go and solve how to get your breast pump on your own, they will only give you a prescription for it and won’t know at all how to help you get it thru insurance. They don’t provide any of the vaccines you need for pregnancy either! Expect having to wonder around to see where you can get your Whooping cough and tetanus vaccine. Their treatment rooms are awfully small! They also have a super rude guard outside to implement that you wear your mask before entering, but also to make sure you park wherever is most convenient for them, because their parking lot is also small. It won’t matter if you are 9 months pregnant spect guard to come outside to tell you that you have to move your car because that’s their employees parking lot, even tho they have not one sign to tell you this. I used to visit Candlewood women health and never had any of this issues with my first pregnancy. I changed because my physician retired and thought of finding someone else here for my second pregnancy, but it has been the worse mistake ever!"
