"The people I called to schedule my appointment provide poor customer service."
"Quesendra Biqiri in the Motility GI clinic was the most unprofessional and unpleasant provider I have ever seen. I would say she is fat phobic and has told me that she disagrees with my life saving medical device because I am not under a BMI of 18… I have a metabolic issue that she is aware of which is why I’m not at a lower BMI but in any case no medical provider would put in a medical device for no reason.. seeing I have said medical device clearly I’ve needed it. She says because I am fat (and I repeated this sentence to see if that’s exactly what she meant) she said yes this is why. She also has claimed that Yales motility clinic is not the best for gastoparesis (even though I’ve “exhausted every other medical provider and specifically told Yales motility clinic is the best in the state) but Qendra specifically started naming providers from Yale stating that Yale does not treat Gastroparesis. This appointment was not my appointment but someone else who I was attending the appointment with for support but in any case I was brought into the appointment as an example about being fat and basically discriminated against about my weight. She does not have much knowledge in motility and expresses that she doesn’t have enough knowledge so I’m confused on why she’s trying to treat patients with gastroparesis. She then says that the person I was with had already exhausted their options on their condition and there is nothing else Yale can do leaving this person with no care and telling them to go to the er when this can definitely be treated as an outpatient thing. All in all my experience with this provider and the day I had attended this appointment was absolutely horrible and degrading. Please do your research before going to see Qesendra Biqiri. (Other than that I have not had any other issues at least to my face)"
"So my mother is been a patient at Yale for the last 30 years in as worked as a condition for Fair Haven Health Clinic in amazes me in this day and age that I can pick up the phone and call these people for her to get seen and they have not changed a bit. They meaning the call center and I guess the nurses that answer these phone calls and in the operators themselves, they are rude, inconsiderate, and loud instead of talking in a calm tone and understanding why you’re calling instead of assuming you already know, put yourselves in a patient’s position. We are in an epidemic, whether you choose to believe it or not, and Yale has not changed any of his ways I will not go to Yale. I have not gone in the past five years because of this, but my mother and sis don’t ask me why. Do you people need to get it together? You really do."
"I was diagnosed with UC around three years ago and it has been quite the struggle. I was being treated at a different medical facility where I do not feel I was getting the care that I needed. It was difficult to make appointments and the overall “treatment” was not getting me better. Test after test, new medicine after new medicine. It was not working for me. I have been at Yale for just a few short months now and I am finally confident that I am getting the care that I need. Dr. Guidos is highly informative and quickly put together a treatment plan for me. I feel that the Dr. truly wants me to get better which I haven’t felt in the past in other practices. The staff is pleasant and helpful. Making appointments is not a difficult task and is very structured. I recently had an appointment with a nutritionist and learned so much about my gut health. I am extremely grateful and hopeful that my quality of life will improve thanks to Yale Digestive Health."
"The customer service is extremely poor! Moving appointments, not attempting to be accommodating to the customer. Originally scheduled for November, moved to February and now being moved again. Yale Medicine should work on accommodating patients after all we have a choice where we receive care!"
