Reviews of Toyota North Parts Department
"My mother's car is basically brand new and has ONLY 5000 miles and failed inspection. They told her to drive it around. I told her that was wrong. I had it checked and it passed with no problem. I bring it back to the dealership to get it inspection done again because it was paid for already. I had a 12 pm appointment. They told me it would take 3 hours. I left and went to my mechanic and paid the $40 AGAIN and was finished in 10 minutes. Ridiculous. Such bad service. No where to even get a cup of coffee. 1 person trying to get the cars to people and park the ones coming in at the same time."
"I went today to get my car maintenance, and after going through the door u see 3 unhappy faces on the counter, please how u could hire that kind of employes and if u already did it please show then how to smile and be a little bite friendly, awful attitude of all of them. They use to have a very friendly guy a few months ago and I think he just gone. But really is horrible go there for maintenance and see those unhappy, grumpy faces. Terrible costumer service at the front desk. I can't make one with all of them. I hope u could fix that, it is a great car brand ."
"I was looking to purchase either a new Toyota Camry or a new Honda Accord Sport over the weekend and pay cash for the car. I went to Toyota North first. Walked around their showroom for 40 minutes, sitting in multiple Camrys and I watched as the two (who I presume to be) owners just stare at me. Never said a word to me. Never asked me if I needed help. I, being in sales myself, walked out after 40 minutes, without understanding how this dealership is still in business. Despite really liking the 2015 Camry, I refused to buy a car from this dealership out of principle. Went right down the road to Mt. Kisco Honda, got great customer service, and paid $22,900 cash for a new 2015 Honda Accord Sport. Word to the wise at Toyota North. You don't have to like your prospective customers who walk through the doors of your showroom, but at the very least, you should pretend to care unless you really have no interest in selling cars. Edit: Thanks for your response "the owner". While I sincerely doubt it will help you in any way, I was in your showroom on 5/23/15 between 9 AM to 10 AM, give or take a few minutes. I know this because I can see on my sales slip what date and time I bought my Honda. Good luck."
"I went to Toyota North to buy some engine coolant because Toyota uses a "special" ($25/gal) pink anti freeze that you can't get at your local auto parts store. I think this is not user friendly on Toyota's part, but that is not why I am writing this review. When a customer arrives at the parts and service location they must park with a valet parking attendant. That is something I don't like to do, and I just won't go to a restaurant that has a valet parking requirement. This is the first time I have ever seen it at a store front shop, but that is not why I am writing this review. The valet parking attendant was waiting in a customer's car that was left for service and he had the engine running - for heat I would assume. A service tech came to talk with him and I overheard him say that this car was next but he would bring him the one just finished so that he could wait in it! I guess they also wait in a customer's car in the summer so they can keep the air conditioner running. I notice one reviewer had 30 extra miles on his can when he picked it up after service at Toyota North. I just have to wonder if he also had some extra hours running time on it to keep the valet attendant happy. I expect more from a vendor. Shame on them. Perhaps Toyota should change their slogan from "Let's go places" to "Let's idle a while.""
"As someone who isn't very knowledgeable about the car buying process, these guys were so incredibly helpful when it came to, not only leasing my new Corolla, but also helping me out with the termination of my current Honda lease. George and Allen made the process so smooth and easy that this former "Honda-lifer" is now proud to call herself a Toyota girl! I highly recommend Toyota North to anyone looking for a new vehicle and I know that I'll be back in 36 months for sure!"
