Canaan Child Care Center

Canaan Child Care Center, located at 90 Pease Street in Canaan, Connecticut, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educationally based, affordable child care for children aged three to eight. Our center offers a safe, structured, and nurturing environment designed to enhance children's social, emotional, physical, and developmental growth.

We offer three programs: Before School, After School, and Preschool. Our School Readiness Program, sponsored by the State of Connecticut, prepares all children in the community for school. During the Before School program, children can engage in various activities such as using the computer, playing board games, and creating art projects. A healthy breakfast is also provided.

In our After-School Program, children have indoor and outdoor play options tailored to their interests, providing a well-supervised environment for children whose parents work late. Our Preschool program offers an educational atmosphere that aligns with the North Canaan Elementary School curriculum, including songs, letters and number recognition, reading, field trips, and an intergenerational program with the Geer Nursing Home.
