Reviews of 105-Ten Bar & Grill
"great burgers, but a little crowded and loud. More of a good bar spot than restaurant, though all crowds come here and always crowded. Reservations recommended."
"Over 55? - Prepare to feel unwelcome. As a senior and frequent visitor to 105 Ten, I've observed a concerning trend regarding the seating of elderly patrons by the hostess. Despite a nearly empty restaurant today (please see the attached photo), my 71-year-old dining companion and I were once again led to a table near the restrooms and kitchen service area in the rear of the restaurant. The table lacked place settings or chairs, prompting a request to be seated at any of the empty, already set tables we passed on our way in. Upon questioning the hostess about this recurring pattern that I had noticed, she remained silent and refused to speak. Seeking clarification, I asked a nearby waiter the same question, only to receive a dismissive response about the table now being set for us which in no way addressed my concern. Unsatisfied, I requested to speak to a manager. Instead of a manager, a bartender approached, claiming no management was on duty but offering to address any concerns. When asked about the choice of seating, the bartender justified it by citing the restaurant's sports bar atmosphere on a supposedly busy day. Despite pointing out the emptiness of the restaurant (again see photo), this excuse from the bartender persisted. I insisted on speaking to a manager, considering the bartender's response insufficient. A call from a remote "manager" followed, who avoided addressing the pattern of seating elderly customers in the back. Frustratingly, he became hostile, refusing to explain the preference for such seating and insisting that the table near the bathroom and kitchen was his best seat in the house. His demeanor escalated to hostility, dismissing my concerns and asserting his authority over the establishment. I question how a man who as he declared has worked in the industry for 28 years, would come to consider the table in front of the restroom doors and within reaching distance to the kitchen serving station to be the "best table in the house". If you look at the photo, the table frequently relegated to senior diners is BEHIND all the tables visible in the attached photo. Would you call that the best table in the house? For those still reading, it appears that 105 Ten consistently seats elderly patrons at the back in an effort to maintain an image of a "hip" sports bar, relegating individuals with grey hair, mobility aids, or assistance needs to a less visible position in the restaurant. Sadly seniors are not welcome at 105 Ten. Based on the amount of people dining there today, it doesn't look like other clientele are satisfied with 105 Ten as well."
"We stopped in for dinner, it was fairly busy but they did seem to accommodate our party of six very well. The service was pretty good, the food was better. only thing I really think of that was slightly annoying was we explained in the very beginning that the check was going to be three people on one bill, three people on the other bill. When she brought the initial bill to the table it was all on one bill they had to take a back and then when it came back every single person got a bill with things on it that they didn't order. It took us a minute to work it out, and we ended up just giving all the money to one person, and that person paid. Other than that, it was a pretty good experience overall."
"We decided to swing by here after a quick hike. We had our pup with us and thankfully they let us at their tables outside and even brought him water. I ordered the tuna tacos which I was really excited for, but fell a little flat with flavor. My boyfriend got the chicken sandwich and he loved the fries. We were also happy that they had a revolving craft beer selection."
"Went to this restaurant for my dad's birthday. The service was excellent. I loved the lobster grilled cheese! The peanut butter cheesecake was a little too big for me but great for sharing. It was fun to order different things and try what we like. Left with very full bellies. Noise was a little on the load side bc there was a game on but the is apart of the atmosphere being created."
