"Horrible service at the Nanuet location. The Manager locked the door on our face at 5:58PM. The branch today Monday March 16, 2020 closed at 6pm. I have never seen such poor customer service from a credit union. Being. Member to a credit union , you should be served with the up most respect. They really need to make some changes here. Tony, the old manager was what made this branch helpful and customer friendly for the members. This new manager / staff shouldn’t be aloud to deal with customers. They should be out back counting tokens for that type of behavior and customer service!!! I will be moving our money and busines dot another credit union. And I will advise my family and friends who bank there to also move there money to a better customer friendly bank."
"Similarly to others that have posted a review, I had come in to discuss getting a loan with a representative and made it abundantly clear that I was not coming in to actually apply for the loan but to get more information. The representative assured me that he would not continue with the application process or do a hard pull on my credit but said he needed personal details in order to give me more accurate information. I left Palisades Federal Credit Union that day knowing that in no uncertain terms I had said I was not proceeding with the loan application at that time and that I did not want a hard pull on my credit, and yet I received a notification some time later that I was denied a loan with them. I went to the Palisades Credit Union to resolve the matter, neither the branch manager nor the representative acknowledged any wrongdoing, and when further confronted the representative said to my face "Why else would you come in and give me your information if you didn't want me to put it through?" Well, the only reason you had my information in the first place was because you said it was necessary even after you understood I didn't want a hard pull and only more information!! Palisades Federal Credit Union is completely unprofessional, and in my opinion, borderline fraudulent. If they cannot be trusted with something as simple as a request to not complete an application how can they be trusted with your money? What other liberties are they taking when it comes to your personal information? How many of the unsuspecting or financially naive have they taken advantage of? To put the icing on the cake, after hounding the representative they finally conceded and said they would take the steps necessary to remove the inquiry from my report. Two years later and it is still on there."
"The other employees here may be helpful but my experience with Matt was awful. I reached out PFCU to consider refinancing my auto loan. Matt informed me he would work on it for me. He said he would be sending me an email with documentation needed and reach out to me within 2 days with the outcome. I never received email and never heard from him but they did make sure to run my credit because I received an alert a hard hit was added to my report. I called back 5 days later and left Matt a voicemail. Still no response or call back. I called over a week later and still couldn’t get him on the phone. Instead he relayed the message that he couldn’t do anything for me to the employee that answered the phone. Matt is unprofessional and has poor customer service."
"Amazing, I tried to financed a car and because Rockland Hyundai messed my life up and finances by selling me a frame damaged car when I tried to get a new loan every bank was offering me a 10% interest rate. This credit union did all the paperwork and approved me with a 3.49% interest rate. All of that without ever stepping a foot in the door. My first time inside the building was just to pickup my check. I will use them every time from now on. Thanks Matthew you were great."
"If I could give them zero starts, I would. Palisades Federal Credit Union is by far the worst credit union I've ever dealt with. The customer service is horrible. I've given them chance after chance over 7 years and nothing has changed. Their online banking in a joke. The maximum spending limit on debit cards is 1k a day. Maximum withdrawals from ATM's $500 a day. What a joke. They literally choke hold your money and there's really nothing you can do about it. If you just so happen to go to the Nanuet branch, avoid Matthew Maglionico at all cost. He has absolutely no idea what he's doing, and it's beyond me how he even got the job and is managing to keep it. He flat out lied to my face and told me that even though there's a 1k limit to debit transactions a day, I could call the 800 customer service number and they could do a one time exception and open up the limit upwards of $3500 for a three hour window. When I called and requested that option, they practically laughed at me and said absolutely not. Matthew is extremely unprofessional in his appearance, his vocabulary and untimely in every manner. He has no sense of urgency in assisting credit Union clients and is quite frankly very rude. There's absolutely nothing this place can do to keep my business and I will be closing my account as soon as possible and will never look back. Be where of Palisades Federal Credit Union. Mark my words, they don't care about your business. Don't believe me. Attempt to call them. There's no direct line to anyone. You'll get passed from person to person over the phone and then say, "You know what. Please give me the best call back number for you so we can have someone get back with you within 24 hours". This place is truly sad. Good luck if you attempt to open an account there"
