Reviews of Franklin Trust Federal Credit Union
"By far the worst credit Union . 2 hrs of wait for a pick up for a phone, unanswered voicemails, and emails. You let them know about themselves and it’s nothing but excuses. I had the worst customer service call today (Maria Chacon) loan advisor unexplained services. This establishment should be down and member services should be re trained."
"My experience was very good everyone tried to help I’d like to give thanks to Pandora who was the one that first attended me when I got there & Harold was helping her out due to my situation & then once Candace was done with her customer she took over of my situation & did resolve some of it as the rest has to be done with someone that is more capable of fixing the situation. Made sure to write their names down & take a card to let you all know how well they did and the laughs we had while we was there. It’s always very pleasant to go into the bank. It’s like family there. Thank you all for your amazing customer service"
"This is a nice community credit union. However, it is a revolving door when it comes to teller. It's always a new teller or someone in training. The drive through and the regular customer service line are always long. Don't even bother try calling the que is an everlasting wait. When I get to the tellers and explain my need, sometime they are not clear on what my transactions are. Instead of reiterate what I just told them they're trying to seek help from another employee. Which nothing is wrong with getting clearification but to translate a hole different conversation is mind blowing."
"Run! This bank will charge you for every little thing possible and then some. I recieved a letter stating that I would be charged $10 for every piece of mail sent back to them until I updated my address. Yes, $10!! Mind you the envelope shows a postage cost of 63 cents. Doubt any letter, ink, or paper cost adds us to $10. I don't even have a checking/savings account with them anymore just a loan that I cannot wait to get rid of so I can finally be 100% free of them. Honestly surprised they have not been fined for having junk fees. Save your sanity and go to American Eagle bank. Locations everywhere and the staff is always friendly!"
"I've been a member for over 6 years. Like a lot of companies, their quality of service has degraded since the pandemic, specifically in the loan department. There is no communication, you have to follow up with employees continuously in order to be serviced and they do not communicate with each other. I received 4 calls from them one day about a loan I applied for a week prior. I reached out two days later and they told me that loan filed had not been submitted because of one missing item, and i had to leave work to go in person to get it resolved. In addition the attituded from loan department does not match the atmosphere they try to promote. They promote that you are a "member owner" and that you are valued, but there have been many of times that the tone and demeanor are completely unprofessional, specifically employee named Shanice. The service staff are the only saving grace of the credit union. They deserve a raise and promotion, because they carry the company well. Between Jamie, Amanda and the rest of the member relation staff, you will be taken care of. A loan officer refused to see me once because they had 15 minutes until they clocked out, Jamie went above and beyond and communicated back in forth, and really made sure my needs were met. It made no sense to me why the loan officer was sending her back and forth like a messenger bird, when the loan officer had all the information, authority and time to communicate what i needed through her. Like I said it's specifically the loan department, and also the new management style."
